Let's fly away

Guess what????

Our trip to Europe is officially on!!! XD It's sooo exciting - my sister and I found places to stay - one in Italy for a month, then we'll be off to Scotland for three-four months. EEEEEEEEEPPPPPP!!!!!!

It's our first trip overseas, and I'm really looking forwards to it. I can hardly believe everything worked out in like, the space of two weeks!

So, as of February the 4th, 2008, Emi and I will be heading overseas....

YAY!

Holla *coff* at yer girl *sniff*

Gah. I hate being ill. 'Tis the bain of my existence.

Plus, I'm stressing because I am sooo running behind in my uni work. *le sigh* But at least when you're sick you lose weight! Yay! Go positive side of sweating, chills, sniffles, migraines, joint pain and coughs! >3<

And that's all I have to say.

Buh-bye now...

Black Stump - it came, it went, it was GREAT!

I can hardly believe that Black Stump is over for another year...

Crazy man, just crazy...

But it was awesome and I got to go!!! I saw (and liked) John Smith, Antiskeptic, Scat, Jigzag, Maverick, the comedy shows, Stump comedy debate, and the Stump Battle of the Bands. I also so some other things, but wasn't so impressed - but I am not naming names...

I had a great time chillaxing, but I swear! The dust was aweful! Just imaging the dusty-est dust bowl you ever could, and times it by 100. Then you are getting close to Stump. One photo I took inside a tent, when I was at the back, consisted of some heads close by and, you guessed it... Dust.

I am still coughing up black stuff.

But it was awesome, and we got to eat cookies all weekend! Yay! Go cookies!

Monday, September 10

Ahhh

So don't you just love the holidays? Sure - they don't last very long, and I've still got a list of stuff to do as long as my arm, but I love it how I get to sleep in!! XD.

er. Yeah.

W000T holidaysssss!

Malicious femininity

squishes my toes

as I tug on the sides of my skirt and do that hip butt wiggle wiggle thing

was I supposed to be sultry today

or matronly

or capable like a man

willing?

vulnerable?

coquettish?

do I shake his hand

eye contact, firm grip

or merely tilt my head

relying my feminine nature

No, I didn't write this - I wish I did, but all credit goes to xx_starchild_xx on Live Journal. My comment on this piece?

Too true mate - too true!

I really love it 'coz it seems to sum up the conundrum that the modern woman faces. We can have it both ways - be independent and manly, or feminine and flirty/coy/capricious - whatever mood strikes us. Too bad it adds to the wardrobe problem - will I wear a skirt/dress/short with those sandals/boots/heels with that mood flirty/strong/independent/gentle/bubbly/c
orporate - the choices are endless!! 0.o

doing things

Okay, so I'm doing lotsa things - uni, stuff, art, stuff, oh! Oh! Watching Foxtel stuff! *squeee* Soo excited - we've finally gotten Foxtel at home and I just love it.... Yay for the Cartoon Network! I watched "Memoirs of a Geisha" (sp?) yesterday - I loved it!
Heh - I didn't even shed a tear *so proud* - I thought it was good - and I really enjoyed the scenery - purttiful Japan. I can't wait to go over there!

In between all the stuff and bother, I've decided that when I come back from Europe, have finished my degree and have a full time job, I'm gonna get a new (second-hand car). But guess whats really exciting! It's gonna be one of these:

a Toyota Supra, 1993-94, but fully kitted out-

or a Nissan Skyline - one of these!

Aren't they just the most to say the least? Of course, my preference is for red or black color wise, and some luffly sub woofers in the boot, but second-hand means not much choice. But like I really care - after BoB ANYTHING is an improvement! Not that I'm complaining, I'm lucky to have a car that is reliable. I just also adore driving high-performance cars.... As in totally nuts about them!

Besides all that, the term is trotting along abominably fast - end of this week and it's class free for two weeks! Plus, once that's over, before you know it the end of semester will be looming upon us, and with it - trip to Europe!!!!!!!!!! @.@

In the mean time, I'm have fun hanging out with some new friends from church (well, old friends now - we've been doing stuff for about two months or so now) and I can't wait for Black Stump - it's in one month and one day!!!
AND I AM SO GOING THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!

(random insert) With a T - I - Double G-rrr, Pokachou I choose you!

Panic attack!

*Aiiya!*

So the story goes like this -
right
- It was a dark and stormy night -
no it wasn't! It was today you silly nitwit!

Oh yeah.

Anyways, if my silly head (not silly) will stop interrupting I can get to work...

Right, so like I was saying, today I received the positively worstest grade I have EVER gotten!!!

(ok - over exaguration- Muse tends to do that a bit. It was 11/20, so I passed by one mark)

I got an instant case of "Emo-muffiness" and got TOTALLY depressed. But once the tut. finished, my tutor asked to speak to me and said that basically I didn't deserve the grade I got, but because I didn't set it out properly that's what I got!

I was sooo relieved when she said that. Basically I just have to talk to her before I hand in my assignment next time and I'll be ok.

CHEERS!!!

XD, I'm-happy-now, tb.

Almost done.

Ausika's log 0850 hours:

I take up pen once more, only to confirm a rumor of the direst consequences. It is beyond my reckoning as to how these events were set in motion, but they where and of that I have no doubt. It was after the successful operation that took out Captain Takkahi's ship, The Trade Wind that I first learned of the whisper.

It is rumored that under the guidance of the Pirate King, the Pirates are sailing for destinations unknown. So it seems that in the manner they arrived, suddenly and without warning, is the manner they shall leave.

But not if I have anything to do with it.

It was over a steaming cup of Jasmine tea that I learned of the deeper reasons for the Pirate's abrupt departure, and that made me all the more determined to stow away and finish this war.....

I had knelt at the rough pine table, with no more thought on my mind than to escape the perpetual whining of the guild leaders. Head of the Saber clan I had been for five long years. I was well on the way to out-striping the Venerable Donji, the only female leader besides myself sit in this position. And now the leaders of the Ninja clans wanted me to pick a successor for my title - that or be wed and by the stars above will I not be married off like a water buffalo up for auction!!

So it was such circumstances that brought me to the local village tea house, in disguise of course. No one would think of searching for the Sensei of the Sabar clan in a homely little place as this. Though, aside, I quite enjoyed the informalities of the affair. And for their credit, their tea is almost as good as my personal brew. Almost, but not quite.

There, alone with my thoughts drifting on the spirals of sweet scented jasmine, a muted conversation caused me to pick my ears.

It would appear that the pirates are leaving to search for an ancient relic. And with this relic they were going to set up a kingdom on the opposing island of Yuna. We had the larger land mass - our home island being shaped like a crescent moon, Rue slightly encircled the island of Yuna. The guild leaders had begun settling Yuna when the pirates had disrupted our plans many centuries ago. They had formed a barrier between the motherland and our stranded companions. Once in a while a brave, if foolhardy, ninja would slip between the pirate ranks and bring us messages from the island.

We had not heard a word from the communities across the sea in the last five years. This was our worse fear - if the clans have not been able to retain control of the island, with this new relic the pirates would be in the finest position to take that land as their outpost.

The war would never cease until one of our kind was eliminated....

I vow it will not be the Ninja Clans. To seal this vow I had left the tea house and climbed to the summit of
Mt. Eifnur. There the we, as leaders, met with our thoughts and planned the futures of our peoples. It was upon my head to stop this calamity - a task I only hoped I was capable of completing....

In the deep cool of the night I knelt in a tiny cave dedicated for the clan senseis alone and breathed in the soft wind that caressed my hair. In my mind's eye I could see the ships departing and the false hope spreading like a plague amongst our people. I could see the months of peace, and even years of quiet whilst our senses grew dull with stupor. Than the fear, the sudden strike that would decimate our lands and leave us helpless under the heel of the pirates. A cry of rage grew within my breast at the thought and I knew what had to be done.

I would sail out with pirates on the eve of my four and twenty years...

Asuika dropped her head. Alone in the depth of Mt. Eifnur, the scroll and pen fell from her shaking hand. She had never left her home lands, she had no friend to turn to, no one to bid farewell.

She did not know if this was a thing to rejoice over, or to weep. Whom could she turn to but the stars? Cold comfort their shining beauty was, and she allowed one tear. Just one cool droplet to slip down her cheek, one farewell to all she knew as home.

The guild leaders would only activate a final strike if they knew of these events - an occurance that would leave the pirates severly crippled to be sure, but defeated? Who knew....

No.

Asuika lifted her eyes. To use their own weapons against them - that was the way to grantee success. She would make sure that the pirates would never return to her homeland. It was the only way....

Just about finished you know! One more, maybe two more "chapters" and it'll be done. Comment or criticism anyone?

weirdnEss, fun and ninjAs

Nine words women use...

1.) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

2.) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

3.) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

4.) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

5.) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and
arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.)

6.) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

7.) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or Faint. Just say you're welcome.

8.) Whatever: Is a women's way of saying F!@# YOU!

9.) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking "What's wrong?" For the woman's response refer to #3.

I found this on Live Journal - this awesome community I am now addicted too -(just add it too thelist) - http://djinnthespazz.livejournal.com/ is the link for reference. It's cool though inn't? I reckon it's about 100% correct too... Fellas - take note! ;D Oh yeah - I'm Asuika on Live Journal - check it out if ya want. Oh, and here's Part 2 of the ninja vs pirate story.

Enjoy!

I'm a Ninja!

Among other things - I am a ninja!

I am also going to a craft expo. this weekend and I'm really looking forwards to it - I love looking at other people's stuff - it can really give you some great inspiration.

Not that I really need any - I've got a list of art projects to do that is as long as my arm! (Well just about!) Aside from that I'm busy with all the stuff that needs to be done for one reason or another...

Why don't we have more time in each dayyyyy???

On to other things-

*~~~*~~~*~~~
Asuika's log 0900 hours:

We gave those rascally pirates a good whipping last night.... Operation Drop the Cannon went off perfectly. It took the best of my girls - Black Owl Rekku, Sparrow Hawk Emi, and an import - Cherry Blossom Red from special op.s. But we got in and we got out, all according to plan.

.... There wasn't a star in the sky when I gave the signal to move out. We had left the majority of our weapons back at base. This mission required stealth and silence - what ninja mission doesn't?

My trusty folded steel throwing knives had been blackened especially for tonight. I was carefully passing my sharpened knives over a candle flame when Rekku had approached me - rather timidly I thought. "What ?" I asked her absently, still concentrating on the flickering flames. "Why are we covering The Trade Wind?" She questioned. "I thought I explained that to you during the briefing." I frown at her and she dropped her head, her brown hair falling over her eyes. "Yes Sensei- but I still think that we should go for The Rebound - it is their head quarters after all..."

Sighing I tucked my sooty knife into my left boot. I still had to wrap my hair up, but Rekku was causing trouble again and this mission was important - at least, that's what my warriors thought. It was better to leave them in the dark. They only needed to know what I chose to tell them. "Come." I led her down from the amoury to the heart of the caves. My room was at the center of our complex, right next to the briefing room. Living at the center of the Shadow Saber's headquarters could be painful to say the least, but it was the price I paid as the head of our clan.

Inside my softly lit room, I motioned for Rekku to sit behind the rice paper screen that was decorated with cherry blossoms. No one was allowed into my inner sanctum, that was one rule upheld with uttermost strictness. There were some privileges being the head too.

Blue eyes stared back at me from my mirror as I wrapped up my blonde curls with black velvet ribbon, listening to Rekku's urgent rant. "...plus it's where Captain Takkashi sleeps - that's just another reason why we should launch our offensive at the heart of the pirate scum!"

Blowing out the candles placed around my dressing table I turned and walked out, Rekku following me silently. Leading her to the top of the look out peak, I acknowledged the night guard's bow and pointed to light, twinkling softly in the harbor. Gentle song of the nightingale mingled with the swishing of the ocean as I stood on the edge of a 95 meter drop.

"We are attacking The Trade Wind because contrary to popular belief, that ship the centeral player in this game. " Rekku sat silently behind me. "I do not want you to question my desicion any longer." Rekku bowed in acquiesce, leaving the point.

I knelt down and stared out over the scene that awaited us at the foot of Mt. Eifnur. Soon enough we would face our opponent - but they would never see us coming -

"Sensei!" Asuika dropped her pen, a trail of ink skittering over the parchment. "What?!? What makes you interrupt my notes?"

"Er... It's time for dinner. We are having sushi - your favorite."

"Fine!" Asuika rose, the rest of the story would have to be finished later. There was so much to tell, but the sweet scent of sushi called loudly. Her notes could wait...

Ok - so I've randomly started this Ninja vs Pirates story... I dunno why, I just felt like it. Hope you enjoy!

Hello from reader land!

What's it like out there?

In here (the land of surfing the internet; otherwise known as cyber space), it's pretty weird. All these packets of information zooming past at break-neck speed. I can't even see the ones concerning popular issues!

Such as - well, anyone notice how fast legislation is being laid down in parliament? To me it almost looks like The Coalition is laying the ground work for the changes that they want to make before the end of Howard's office. I know it's a weird theory, but I think it's valid. I feel that the only reason we are seeing all these government 'take overs' a.k.a the Tasmania hospital, or the new laws on Indigenous affairs, and such like, is that the Coalition have an agenda and they've got to complete it - quick stat! Heh; I'm surprised the Liberal party hasn't announced a new curriculum for public schools across Australia yet. Oh - wait, silly me - that's one of the things the Labour party agrees with. Guess there's no need for the Liberal party to roll that out. They can turn their attention to other issues, such as climate change. Ooops - Labour agrees with their policies there too - at least concerning mining in (surprise, surprise) Tasmania.

Gee - are there any differences between the Liberal and Labour parties? I can't tell any more with Johnny and Kevin - the look alike twins.

Don't get me wrong, I vote for the Liberal party, (I think that statement will get me killed out in reader land - good thing I'm stuck in cyber space) but I don't know if I will this time around. I guess we'll see how the wind blows.

Doh! Cliche!

So sorry to bore you all, I am rather picking up on my political classes. And no, I won't go into detail as to WHY I think we should be involved with politics - let's just say that I really, really, really think we should be!

Tata for now, or TTFN - t. :3

Raindrops

Whoa-Whoa-Whoaaaa! What's new pussy cat?

Well, actually, there isn't an over amount of exciting stuffs, but uni is going well, and i think it's because I feel like I can actually cope with the work this semester. And if I keep on doing the stuff I'm supposed too, I'll be fine.

Hmm - the really exciting stuff is that Alli and I have almost - wait for it.... Almost finsihed the rough draft of the first part of the story we've been writing for five HUndred years - Gameian. YEs, we are almost half way through!!! ^_^

It's sooo exciting!

Meh. THat's it from me.

Toodles, tinka.

Blue Sky Window

Okay - don't ask me about the title, 'coz I don't know. In fact, I know nothink! Nothink I tell you!

Speaking of nothink, this semester is going to be exactly that - nothink. Nothink but work that is! gah... Although the one bright spot in my life will be Black Stump.

And this year I AM GOING!!!! I have already asked for the weekend off - four months in advance, and if they don't like it they can go jump in a lake!

So there....

Quick Note

This a quick note - I went to Scripture Union Camp last week, Chill Out as it is officially labeled. No - I wasn't a camp, but a leader... >.>

My favorite thing about camp?

The kids!! I loved the bunch of kids I got. Three boys - all in grade six. They were interesting, funny, and intelligent (surprise, surprise o.o - lol - kidding!). We had a lot of challenges for the kids throughout the camp - competitions between the groups and all that. The boys were hilarious to work with during these - I just had to give them a little nudge, poke or idea and they were off and running! Our group pretty much wiped out the competition in all but one event and as the boys pointed out (loudly I might add) that was because I wasn't with the team in that event!!!

Although the extent of my 'helpfulness' could be considered dubious as it was a quiz night and I am notorious for getting the answers wrong in quizzes...

So that was my camping experience - that and influenza (which wiped us all out), accidents and tiredness! Up at 7:00am every morning, bed at 11:00pm... Ridiculous hours for a girl that llllloooooovvvvvvvveeeeeessssssss her sleep.

But I'd do it all again, and in some ways can't wait to go on another camp and in the end I guess that's the true test of how everything went.

Bye! Bella

P.s - Don't EVER bring a good book on a camp - you can't do both at once..... And, yes, I speak from experience. >.>

Com'mon

Well uni's back and when it's all said and done I almost prefer to be back to a normal schedule. Plus, for all my vows I managed to put on 2 kilos over these holidays, and regular exercise is the ONLY way I'll put it off again!!!

When I think about it, somehow I always end up doing more stuff in the holidays than I sign up to do during the uni semester. I guess I am smart sometimes!!! (ie - I know my limits during term time - o.0 shockingly enough)

I won't even get a break these next holidays - yeah, I will be run off my feet in full time work (fingers crossed its a govi. position) while organizing our (my sister's and mine) trip to Europe. Dude - I can hardly believe that prep. really gets full out in about, oh lessee... FIFTEEN WEEKS TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! o.o

Crazzzzy man. But oh, so awesome!

So, now for uni and all that jazz. I think my classes will be interesting this semester, but they shall also be a challenge - one that, if I don't pay attention to, may cost me dearly...

But never mind my melodramatics - I've just been reading some good books recently - they tend to do that to me!

Adios me amigos,

Tinka

ER-gah!

Can you believe it? Last night was the second time my car has been broken into! I know - it's like ancient - so really, I should probably expect it to happen more often. Basically, the lock on the driver's side has been damaged and all that is required to open my car is a screw driver shoved in the lock and a twist... Viola! The car is open!

I don't keep any valuables in the car simple because it is that easy to break into - but I did lose my self-contained jump starter kit - worth $80.00.

The worst thing is the thief stole my sister's Bible because it had $71.00 in it. She's upset because the Bible was an 18th birthday present from our grandparents.

But other then that, things are going okay. I've got a Scripture Union camp coming up, and that's going to be fun. I'm also house-sitting at the moment and enjoying the different location. You know what 'they' say - a change is as good as a holiday. Not that I'm entirely sure that 'they' are right, but eh. You can't really argue with a non-entity such as 'they'.

I shall love you and leave you, I'm off to sit on my butt and watch The Avatar: The Last Airbender. I just loooove that show. And though I try - I can't decide whom is hotter - Sokka or Zuko!!! ZuZu is awesome with his hair scraggly and long - and yes, I want ZxK and SxT (Zuko and Katara to get together, and Sokka and Toph to get together for those who are unaware of these awesome characters)

Neways - 'nuff b

Time is slipping away

Gah, I can't believe how quickly my holidays are slipping away from me. It doesn't help that I'm working so much either. Don't really have time for anything when you start working. Owell, at least I'll have some cash - not that I can spend it!

I'm saving to go overseas next year - can't wait. Speaking of which, one of my awesome, gorgeous besties is heading over to the UK for four months - I dunno what I'm gonna do with out her.... : (
But still, I wish her all the best and hope she has an UBERLY cool time! ^-^!

Oh - you'll never guess what either - my sister and I have been working soooo hard, but finally our website is up and running. Not fully finished yet, but we've still got a semblance of structure and content together - it's going to be waaayyyy awesome when we finally get everything up - but check it out anyway! I'll be putting up a proper banner in a bit - but for now the link is : Dual Space.
So, that's been occupying my time - plus I have plans to make an - oooh, you'll have to find out later - when I've finished it.... Trust me - it's far out. ;)

Be seeing you,

Tb.

So much to tell you...

Okay - I've got so much to tell you - not that you'd really care, but anyway, this is my blog and you can't do anything about it!!! Eh... Of course, you could always close the page and never come back again, but you wouldn't want to do that would you?

So anyway - what's been going on you ask? Well, just about everything.

I've been to Wakefield Park - and believe it or not, was actually allowed behind the wheel of a car!!! @.@

And not just any old cars either - cars that are not insured (you sign over all insurance and life rights when you go on the track) and happen to be really sweeet.

As in - I drove a Mazda MX-5, a BMW and *squeeeeeee* a PORSCHE GT3 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >.<
I could hardly believe it when the kind gentlemen that owned these cars took the time to take us (me and my friend) around the track, teach us what to do, and best of all - let us drive!

I got up to a 100k around the corners, 170k on the stretch [it was a really small straight :( ] but the craziest thing was driving that Porsche - 7,000rpm in 1st gear and with all the fat tires, and crazy suspension and all that, I still managed to drift the thing, and spin it out... Twice!!!

Anyway, that was one of the best days I have ever had - I couldn't stop bouncing alll day.

Besides that - I've been on holidays from uni - I'm in the middle of my second week of holidays - I've got three more weeks to go. YAY for long uni breaks!!! ^-^

I've been working heaps, doing lots of stuff with my art, check out the new jewelry I've been making at my deviantART account.

Eh - come to think of it, I guess not that much has really been happening - it just feels like it. I've been running around so much - hanging out with my friends, and all that - so much to do, so little time! 0.o.

Adios amigos - I've gotta fly,

Cioa, t.

Tuesday, May 15

What's been happened dude?

What's been happening dude? ....

I'll tell you what - EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really? Like totally no way dude....

Ah - like totally yah way....

So anywho, between all the stuff that I have to do, all the stuff I want to do and all the stuff I volunteer for, I hardly have time to blink. Or so I think.

Somehow I've managed to level myself up to level 38, and back again from 0 to 26 on one of my new favorite hobbies - those that are into MMORPGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games) will know exactly what I mean. My new baby ToP. Otherwise known as Tales of Pirates. I won't do a long rant, 'coz I know that that many people are not that interested - but just let me at least state that in this game, I will become a Dread Ninja Pirate and rule the world!
*evil cackle*

Mwhahahahaaaaa! >: D

ph3r teh 4rs!!!

Besides that, my younger sister, her best friend and I (with whom we will unite and rule the world ..>.>) have been using our evil genius to create a "Gangsters and Molls" social night, where we shall hereby entertain all and sundry with - A SECRET! Sorry - can't tell that's classified, need-to-know dope my friend, and although you are one cool cat, this is one speakeasy you will get the bum's rush if you so much as bust a wooden nickel.

You just gotta love the Roaring Twenty's! Or those for outside the know - the 1920-1930s during the Prohibition. That's all I'm giving away - you have Google, go look it up! ^_^

Whilst you're there check out Lackadaisy, an awesome comic. Trust me - it's not just ish kabibble, it's the cat's pajamas.

As you can tell, it's been taking up a considerable amount of my brain power. But that's ok 'coz it's only three weeks until holidays for me!! I've got five wonderful, glorious, fantablous weeks off after my one and only exam. Just gotta get through the weeks - I've got a lot of assignments to do. But she'll be right mate, she always is.

Time for me to pipe down and mooch off - I have to see a man about a dog.

See ya.
