Grey Cardigans and Clouds

I put all the vintage elements in my outfit together and imagine my surprise when I came out looking nothing as so like a hipster!  I don’t know if it was a combination of the wrong undergarments with the tights with my beanie, but there you have it.  A very modern vintage take I feel.

*shrug* Ohwell.  And it’s pretty much decided me, I need to find another pair of glasses frames!  These ones have been growing on me, but I can tell that they are just not quite the look that I am going for from these pictures.

P.S.  ~  Yes, I am wearing tiny piggy tails for my hair style.  It helps to tame it as it dries.  : P

Wild & Windy Spring Days

It’s the last week of winter here, but honestly spring still seems so far away with all the wet, wild and windy weather!  All the tiny splashes of purple about my feet beg to differ ~ we’ve had our violets blooming in profusion.  I do so adore violets, and I love the fact that we have so many growing around our home that you can actually catch a whiff of their delicate scent as you walk by.

That and the blossoms are coming out everywhere!  Now if only these dark clouds that I’m seeing out the window will blow away, taking their sleet and hail with them….  Mind you, the 2 meters of snow at Perisher is nothing to be sneezed at ~ the hubs and I have been enjoying our season passes this year for sure.

Now, I don’t know if you have at all been curious as to why I seem to have disappeared for so long, but I promise I have a good reason. I just can’t tell you what it is yet.  Hopefully, I’ll be able return to a more regular update schedule in the up coming weeks, and I promise that when I can, I’ll tell all.

I think I’ve found a new favourite photo taking spot ~ I love this old building and the tree and the fence!  Mind you, the entire time I was taking these photos there was a magpie swooping me.  I had to hold a stick above my head when I wanted to check the photos!

I am sure I looked so silly, but gee, those birds are so unnerving when they are dive-bombing you ~ all you hear is a swish, a click of a beak, and they are gone. Some of them will even make contact with your head; and you never know if that time will be it!  O __ o

Still, it had to be done, even with the bothersome bird and passers-by staring.

It would be nice to have my business cards all ready though ~ then if anyone comes up and asks me what I am doing I can hand them a card rather than trying to awkwardly explain it.  To be sure, no one has actually done that yet, but I would still feel more prepared in the mean time.   I wish I had a nice quiet wood nearby, but I guess I have to do what I have to do…   Whether I feel like an idiot or not?
What say you: hide in my backyard or brave the wild world??   : D

Amongst the Trees ~ Outfit Thirty

Roses_4

I wore this outfit on the weekend when Husband and I went to AQWA, which is Perth’s Aquarium.  Unfortunately, I totally forgot to get any photos!   I decided to repeat it exactly the same for today’s outing to the Salvation Army, a charity shop fondly known as Sally’s to most Aussies.
I hope to find something awesome to share with you later, but it’s really the luck of the draw so we will see how I get on.   ^ u ^

Personally, I have found that Vinnie’s {St. Vincent de Paul’s ~ you have got to love Australian colloquialisms; mozzies, barbys, gummies, trollies…  It has got to end with an ‘ie’ sound, ‘o’ sound or ‘ah’ sound.  As in Davo,  Robbo, Timbo, Daza, Jeza, etc.   Sorry, side track!} have a better supply of vintage.   I am hoping to uncover some treasures none the less.   Wish me luck!

Also, I am sorry for the photo fails ~ I think I look a bit like a deer caught in the headlights….   =___=;      I really have to work on my self~snapped photographs!  I am so used to having Husband behind the camera that I seem to lose all ability to take a good shot without him.  Grr…..  So annoying, but what can you do?   At least these next two pictures turned out well.

Baby Bump at eight months!   Ohmygoodness, so much to do and so little time to do it in….   *freaks out!* 32 weeks and four days into baking the bean sprout and I haven’t even begun to unpack our new house, let alone set up a nursery….

Thank goodness we are booked to fly home this Saturday night  ~ I really cannot wait to get cracking with everything I need & want to do.   > o <

Dappled Lights ~ Outfit Twenty Nine

Tree_1

We are moving hotels this Saturday ~ from City Stay to Riverview {Last move until we go home!  Yay!!  Two weeks and one day until we fly home!  Double yay!!!!}; so this was my ‘goodbye’ shoot in Howard Boas’ Gardens.   This tree is definitely one of my favourite elements of the landscape ~ it has such solid character and twists in the branches.

Tree_5      Tree_4

Yes, I know this skirt has figured in my last outfit post, but this is my version of a remix!  I went for a sort of sweet romantic look.   I wish my hair was longer because I think that long tousled locks really finish off that sort of style, but unfortunately my hair positively refuses to grow past my shoulder blades.  That means that when it dries, it ends up around the tops of my shoulders.  Curls can be such a pain!
