Except for one thing.
Uni starts back tomorrow!

Meh. I'm over it. I've decided to post the first chapter of a novel *Edit - I've changed it to a teaser - apparently publishers get kinda finiky about putting up your stories on the interent before publishing. And as we definately want to publish the Illusionist, it's better to be safe rather than sorry!* I'm co-authering with my sister. The novel is called "The Illusionist" for now, and we're hoping to publish when we finish it. But for now, here's chapter one. WARNING! It's pretty big!
THE ILLUSIONIST
Chapter One
Break-ins, blood, and bounty hunters
The year is far into the future. Earth has long been destroyed by a ravaged ecosystem - now humanity has found footholds all over the universe, but the majority call Mars home.
Planet : OceaN°arria
Class : Water planet
Galaxy : Rëka, sector Tn
Life forms : Mostly Humans and Illasas
Cľis'q ignored the jangled sounds of the city as he concentrated on the security panel, smiling as he pulled the glass away from the glowing keypad. "You sure you got rid of the main floor alarm?" His partner, Wilk, scowled. "It may be a museum, but I've got worse security in my house. Trust me, it's gone - for this sector anyway."
Cľis'q slipped a micro scrambler onto the pad. The nanobots entered the system, transmitting control to Cľis'q's wrist band. With the touch of a finger, Cľis'q commanded the thick glass in front of the robbers to slide back. Nodding to Wilk, he gave the signal for him to active their heat sensing contact lenses, and scanned the room for any signs of life. Satisfied they where alone, Cľis'q's grin grew as he caught sight of dozens of priceless artifacts, gleaming in their glass cages - just whispering a silent challenge to the thieves. "Com'mon. Let's get to work."
If the pair had once looked up, the sight of a dark figure, its white blonde hair rippling in the soft night breeze – watching them, studying their moves through a skylight would have been more then enough to alarm them. As it were, neither took their eyes off their prizes, and the figure stole away, unnoticed, to another skylight on a different section of the roof. Amateurs. They're in the planet's largest museum and they waste their time on those? A smirk curled over her lips as Tori slipped through the hole she had neatly made in the skylight.
Landing gently on a solid oak rafter that ran through the infrastructure, she ran directly under the glass frame, silhouetted briefly against a clear, starless, purple night sky. Crouching panther-like, she slid down the length of the beam, flickering in and out of the deep shadows. Pausing at the end, she leapt down onto the floor, running through the lasers with her knees lifted high.
To any observer it would look like she was sprinting through a yard of tyres - but she knew one mis-step, and the alarm system would go off. Glancing at the floor in the next room, she eyed her target. The lasers were invisible to the naked eye, but to Tori they were dark green beams, flickering across the marbled floor. The doorway she needed to get through was three feet deep, and criss-crossed with more trip lasers. Guess they're trying to keep someone out. There's the hard way... Tori briefly considered the amount of flips and handsprings - not to mention layouts that it would take to get through the maze. Or not. Not enough time.
One bounce, and Tori coiled up like a spring and leapt headfirst through the tangle of invisible lights. Catapulting forward, she landed, rolled up into a handstand and stopped just before the next trap. Gracefully splitting onto her feet, she glanced back through the doorway, a self-satisfied smile curling at the corner of her mouth. That, gentleman, is a real entry.
The two burglars continued on with their petty workings, completely unaware that next door another thief was on her way to get the most prized item in the museum - a mask from the century 3098 B.M. (Before Mars) made completely out of diamonds, titled 'Masque de glace', or 'Mask of Ice.' Tori's hawk eyed gaze slid over the room, noting every tiny detail. There were seven glass cases in the room, the largest one that held the mask was standing directly in the center. The other six cases stood around it, each randomly placed.
As luck would have it, one was just a few feet away from the visitors chairs on the left wall. She lifted her green eyed stare to the ceiling. The long rafters started out from six separate points in the room, then gracefully arced to meet each other in the middle. Although they could not take her to her prize - they, combined with the glass cases, would get her where she wanted to be. There was always a way. Arms raised high, Tori stretched onto her tip-toes, then whipped through the air - a tiny ball of speed, unfurling to land on the targeted chair with ease.
Pausing for the barest of seconds, she reached forward, and delicately placed her hands on a glass case, as she perched dangerously above a laser. Effortlessly she kicked up into a handstand, balancing on the glass case that protected a monumental diamond. Her black clothed legs stretched upwards, then grasped hold of the wooden beam that ran above her, locking as she held all of her weight, she lifted up her hands. Reaching backwards, she clung onto beam, unhooked her legs, and swung forward so she dangled from the beam above a laser-ridden floor.
Swinging smoothly, hand by hand, she moved up the beam until she was over the next case. Dropping down, she landed on the glass silently. One second later, and she had flipped over onto her primary target. Just a few more seconds. If those bumbling idiots can control themselves - and not do anything stupid for that long... Just as the thought flashed through her mind, a low wail of an alarm pierced the silence, rising in volume as bright spotlights around the room began to flash red.
Gritting her teeth in anger, Tori leapt off the case and onto the ground, her left fist coming around to slam into the glass, shattering it completely. Ignoring the blood dripping onto the pink crystal floor from the cuts in her hand, she yanked out the mask, and slipped it into a concealed pocket in her black, sleeveless leather vest.
Over the blaring sound of the alarm, she picked up the wailing sirens of the police. Time to leave. She ran out of the room, almost colliding with two figures that where frozen outside the door, blinded with panic. The two thieves stared at her in shock as she threw them out of her way and continued her run, heading towards a large glass cabinet, just underneath a window.
Vaulting onto the cabinet, she catapulted through the window of the building, landing lightly on the glass coated stones. The instant she landed, she was off again, heading towards the shadows of a large tree. Six law enforcers, drawn to the sound of the breaking window like moths to a light, ran around the corner just in time to see a figure dressed in black come speeding towards them on a black and red V-rider.
Similar to the old fashioned motorcycles, the V-rider was a relatively new machine that took skill to master. Tori knew it could hit speeds of four hundred kilometers per hour, and over - that's what she was counting on. That and the fact that her new bike was more than one hundred kilometers faster then any hover unit, and that it relied on a new technology that used velocity force - making it not only a very expensive piece of equipment, but a very dangerous one as well. Everything she could want in a machine.
Speeding up, Tori accelerated into a corner, turning so sharply that an inch to the wrong side would have sent her flying. Although she could hear the sounds of a pursuit behind, she knew it wouldn't be a problem. It never was.

Home again....
Home agian, home again, jiggity-jig!
Still gotta cold - I think I'm gonna get worse... XP. At least I've got one more week of holidays before I go back to uni.
BoB got to Jindabyne and back again safely, which is totally cool.
I found out I can sculpt as well! I'll be putting up some pictures on Deviant ART under the account of Tinka-Bell.
Can't think of anything else to report -
Adios.

I'm a temporary snowman!
I'm a temporary snowman as I most willingly exist in Jindabyne for the past week - until tomorrow. Just call me Jacki Frost! ^_^!
I have suddenly had a huge flash of remorse for not updating this blog in like the last five billion years! I don't have any reasons - no excuses whatsoever, but I have been pretty busy. Boy, was last semester ever so stressful! But I got through - which is great, so it's onto new things now. I passed all my subjects, so that's good.
I and all my sisters also got baptised together last Sunday. As baptisim is a declartion of our belief in Christ to save us, it was awesome to stand up together and say - yes! We believe!
BoB's been going well to - so life is pretty nice right now.
So I'll check ya all later!

Boo_yeh!
w00t! I've only a three minute presentation and two exams to go and this semester's over!!!!!!! yay!
I did my last major peice of assessment yesterday. It actually worked out ok after all my stressing. I set my alarm for Monday morning - I got up at 5:30 am, got to the uni computer lab at 6:45am, sat my butt down and didn't move for the next nine hours until 3:00pm that afternoon. Hey, drastic mesures - I know, but I wrote the 2,000 word report I needed and it's over! ^-^!
So I am happily looking forward to a week at the snow in the holidays, and the end of the most stressful semester I have ever had. I predicted at the beginning that it would take a lot of work - I just didn't realize that it also include a TON of stress. *shruggs* But it's over now, thank goodness.
My family and I are heading up to Sydney this weekend for my cousin's 21st birthday party - it'll be awesome. Plus, we'll be going to the markets as well - Shopping - here I come!
BoB isn't on the road yet - I still have to pick up a headlight for him so I can get him registered, then I will FINALLY be able to drive him! And then I'll be able to go back to gymnastics, and all sort of awesome stuff that will come with having more money from less petrol consumption. Swweeettt.
'neways, check ya'll l8r,
B.

It's incredible - I can't believe how long it's been since I've been on my blog!
Anyway, updates in the crazy (yeah - 'coz I'm just that psyco...) life of me!
Um. The new stuff - stress!!!!!!! The old stuff? STRESSS!!!!!!! I've been sooo stressed out with Uni lately - it's really run me to the ground. I haven't been doing much except - you guessed it - stressing!
... ... well, not really. I've been doing lots of work and assignments. And I have an in class exam today (T_T Yikes!), one more report (2,000 words) a small 3 minute peresentation - three weeks "off" and two exams to finish the first semester of 2006! Hopefully, the second semester will be better. It can only get better... Right? >.>
BoB is almost back in action - I'm getting him inspected this weekend to fix up my rego, and then I'll be back on the road again! ^-^! I'm planning to go to Jindibyne this Uni hols for a week - yay! Snow! - which will be good. And I think that's all that's up.. O - have a party this Sat. - I'll be wearing my new L.B.D. (for those who are unfamiliar with the term it's - Little Black Dress) and the party is gonna rock! = D!
Me bestie's down for a few days, so that awesome too.
And funny how it takes a while, but even in the bad times, I can really see the Lord giving me a hand. Too bad I'm too stupid to take it sometimes! lol. It's when you're all alone that you find out that maybe He is not so far away after all - if only you'd stop to see that.
But anyway, gotta go - gotta do my exam (AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!)

Mid-semster break. Sounds like a holiday, huh??
Ste-rike ONE!
Have I been relaxing???
Ste-rike TWO!!!!
Has it been a time to rest and catch up on lost sleep?????
Ste-rike THREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The one thing about Mid-semester break is that it isn't a break at all (as all you Uni students out there would know, and cry out with me about!! ), but a cruel ruse to get our hopes up for sleep-ins and late nights, (yes, more sleep-in than 9:00 am, and more late nights than 12:00 pm, but still...) and parties. Then we check our unit outlines and realize that a TON of really important assignments are due the first week back from this so-call "break", (known as the dreaded WEEK TEN) or the week directly after. So as you can guess, I'm at work, or at home doing tons of uni stuff... Not exactly my idea of a break. Though I don't have to drive for 3/4s of an hour to get to uni, so maybe...
No! It is other ploy by "the man" to keep us "disaffected youth" in the gutter. I won't stand for it! Stupid elitetist ideology! (lol. As you can proably tell, Uni is rubbing off on me!)
Meh. -.-. I am sudden really over it... *shrugs* Owell. Is life good out there in the real world? I hope it is, for while my insane little bolt-hole of a universe is getting dropped on it's head once in a while, I usually manage to keep it floating right side up. Usually.
Gonna take a road trip next week to Bateman's to pick up BoB - I'll be so glad to get him back. Petrol consumption will go down, and with it, the money I spend on it! (thankgoodness)
'Neways, Saynara (I know that is spelt wrong... Meh. You know what I mean...),

Okay-day..
Okay-day - everything's fine I say... No, really! It is!
Uni's going alright. Got an assignment back (first of the semester) with a higher mark than I expected -yay! = D-and have done an in class test I was rather dreading. I do have two nasty assignments due in the same week, but that's in a month's time, and as long as I do as I should they will be fine too! So yeah!
BoB is fixed now - at much more than I expected, but apparently he's worth it so... I'll be going to the coast some time to pick him up then I guess - well, know.
Life is rolling along as it usually does - too quickly sometimes, and others far too slowly (like when you're waiting for something!)...
Muphm. Can't think of anything else to say really... So yeah.
Have a good one peoples -
Bonita

Well.
Well. I'm sure I've said it before, and I KNOW I'll say it again - but - doesn't time fly?!?!!!??!!!!?!!!!???!!!! I can hardly believe that it's the sixth week of the sememster already - next thing you know it's gonna be exams again... X P! It really is incrediable.
But anyway... And this breaking news on how life's going... (You can tell I'm really getting into all this Journo stuff, eh?!)
Capt. BoB J. Biggles is headed to the mechanic
Yes - really truely! ... And to recap the story we broke to you last month about the untimely demise of Capt. BoB J. Biggles, a Ford KA Laser busted in the line of duty. New information from the parents of the bereaved suggests that the damaged car may not be headed for the wreakers. The bereaved, a Miss B. J. F. stated "I am absolutely over the moon about this - I'm so glad, and I'm very thankful to the Lord for working this out. He is amazingly good to me." The new proceedure will see BoB's hood up, and the possiblity of a replaced head gasket, and the pistons emptied of water, or a replaced engine. Either way, it is quite possible that the Captain will be back on his wheels very soon.

New relations forged in two areas
Meh. I'm over it... But anyway, it's been really cool 'coz I've been making friends with some chicks at Uni, and a girl at work. Good times! ^-^!
That's all from me for now,
Have a good one!

But anyway... And this breaking news on how life's going... (You can tell I'm really getting into all this Journo stuff, eh?!)

coolness
Life's pretty sweet right now - Uni is not being too much of a pain, and even though I'm really tired, and just getting over a cold, it's all good. There have been heaps of nice things going on.
My boss at work just sent me a e-mail to tell me that I've been working really well, I've meet some new people at Uni, and there's this one chick who's really awesome - she's so friendly and nice. And so much other good stuff!
My art is going ok - I've put up a new peice at deviantART and I will put it in my PhotoBucket album soon too. I'm trying out new stuff, but I am getting really frustrated that the style is taken so long for me to get a grip on. It's slowly changing - but not enough... Hm. Gotta keep at it I suppose.
On a side ramble - I've been hearing this stuff at Uni 'bout Deep File Something or so, but the thing is they want to use this new Deep technoogy to make money off the Internet. I'm having issues with this 'coz in order to make money they're going to be restricting sites and stuff by regulating what gets through quickly and what doesn't. The idea is that the servers scan the 'packets' of information that goes out/on the web and if the packet is sent by a site that pays lots of money to the server, that packet will go through really quickly. But all the site that don't pay out to the telco companies, or whomever, their packets will take forever to upload/download. So basically, you're not going to be able to veiw sites that don't pay without a lot of hassles. Which means more advertising or whatever, and less choice about the information you get.
For some people, I guess it's not so much of an issue. What annoys me though is that it's just companies wanting more money, and they're going to get it at the expense of everyone else who uses the net. Pfffft!!!!!!!
But enough ranting from me -
Have a good one,
Boni. ^-^

If you are wondering what the heck my title is all about, dear reader, don't worry I am well on the path to enlighting your sacred minds.
In my last entry I was occupied with the annoying-ness of everything going evil - (I blame Uni... X_X) but, in a black & white contrast I wish to tell of the wonderful weekend I had with my family, relatives, and best friend celebrating my dear sister's 18th - whom I previously listed in before mentioned post.
We went to Lunar Park!!!
And really, it was lots and lots and lots of fun!!!
I had, and so did my sister, a really great night.
My absolute favourite ride of the night was the enormous slippery-slide in 'The Fun House', as I believe it is titled, and - ooowhee! I went on said ride, like, fifty million times! Okay, so maybe it was five, but it was a good five! The slide in question is about a couple of meters high, and drops straight down for about half a meter, than slowly levels out. And the lower you bend over your knees - the faster you go! It was great!
My second favourites (equally) were 'Mouse Trap', the rollercoaster, and the dodgem cars (to be rather predictable). Both were heaps of fun, though I swear I got whiplash from the rollercoaster! Good times, with good friends. It was great to be together with my whole family too.
What with Uni, work, social commitments, and everything else, I hardly ever get to spend time with my whole family at once any more. I was joking with my Mum, (though I'm half serious!) that we're going to have to make coffee dates to catch up - 'coz we just don't see each other!
Mind you, I'm not complaining, I love being busy. I just wish I had more time for everything! But than again, doesn't everybody?
Well, that's all from me -
For now anyway!

Day from the underside of a worm's bottom
Yup - it really was that bad. Henceforth, all sucky, really, nasty, awful, bad days are known as Days-from-the-underside-of-a-worm's-bottom. Gahhhh!!!!!!!! Stupidness!
And things was it started off reasonably well. Sure, I was tired when I got up - I could've slept another four hours, but my lecture wasn't boring, I met an old friend and had a brief, but good chat with her and we're gonna catch up sometime. It's good stuff.
But then I had to shop for a birthday present on a time limit - NEVER AGAIN - it is way tooo hard. And to add to that, my pay didn't come through, and I needed to charge it... And then, after my feet where suitably blistered up, it was time to go as I was late for my tutorial back on my campus, which was a twenty minute drive away. Not a problem - Ha!!
I realised I didn't have any change what-so-ever to pay for my parking ticket. So trudging around the shops for another half an hour/three quarters of an hour desperately trying to find a shop that could give me cash out without having to spend over ten bucks to get the cash and oh. I just couldn't do it. So it was another ten minute walk to my Mum's office to scab money off her.
I felt so guilty when I showed up - she was so pleased, and I had only come to get money off her... T.T Whaaa! I was all - this is sooo bad. I mean, I had planned to visit her before I ran out of time... And then money, and yeah.
But anyway, she was soo nice about it - (Love ya lots an lots Mum, you're the greatest Mum/friend a girl could have! ^^) So another ten minutes to walk back (owie, my achin' feet) and I was finally free!
Tell you what, my sister better fully appreciate her present - what a trial to get it! I feel like a modern day knight or something - braving the perils of the mall!
Which reminds me - Happy Birthday to my bestest friend besides God - my dear sister Emi!
Gotta go - tinka

*Jaw drops* AHHHHHHH!!!!! O.O
I HAVE TO SCREAM THIS OUT LOUD BECAUSE IT IS THE CRAZIEST THING EVER!!!!!!!!!!
*takes deep breath*
I have fallen in love for the first time...
With a computer program..................................... -_-;
Let me explain - for the artists out there that are limited by a tight budget (like me! >= P) - I might just have the right drop for you!
THE GIMP It's a free, (*gasp*) downloadable program that you can use instead of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator. I don't know if it's as good as a Adobe, but according to my IT friend it is. And he should know. But anyway, that's besides the point...
Because the real point here is that there is a FREE program that you can download to help with your Graphic Art if you can't afford the real deal.
And that's why I'm in love!!!!!!!!!!!! I HEART THE GIMP! :
Google THE GIMP - and voila!!! You're on your way to better art already!
*happy sigh*
Really, truely, the Gimp is the best thing I have discovered (art-wise) so far. I literally was having a coniption* yesterday while I was testing it out. It was - gah - just can't discribe it...
And yeah. So I am insanely happy (isn't it the only way to be?) at the moment.
Lol.
See ya! Tinkabell ^^
*Coniption. verb (con-nip-shon)
1. Bouncing madly around while making little squee's of
excitement
2. Having a heart attack while stressing FAR to much about
something
noun
1. Wildly, insanely, literally off-your-rocker with excitement
2. Stressed out beyond stupidity
P.S. - Yes, the word coniption was made up between The Fluffy Kitties - my
sisters and I. ^^ (C) 2006.

Well.
Life is stuff, stuff is life. My deep, one second thought for the day. ^^; So anyways...
How long does it take to get to being a good artist? Like, I checked out heise's (from DeviantART) work today and tripped out... Ahhh! Too much good art work/artists out there! Sometimes I find it really hard to understand why I even bother, but the compelling whisper that floats through my mind (commenly known as inspiration) won't let me give up. Stupidness. Even when things don't go the way I want them too. : /
*Lol* It's all good. Wonder why I even bother writing about it. Not like anything's ever going to change!!!
So, anyways, I'm doing a third year subject in my second year at Uni - this is going to be fun! >.<>
Hmm - and don't you just love running into ex's? Good times...
As you can proably tell, I'm out to waste time until my tutorial for the subject I'm dropping starts, so I really have nothing to say.
All though, sometimes nothing can be far more interesting than something - depending on the topic!! Anyhoo, gotta go. Forgot to buy a textbook I need.

UPDATE
Better update I guess.
Back at Uni - lots of work this semester - four units, and yeah. Lots of work at my job as well, 'coz I am flat strapped, and need a LOT of money to pay my debts!!! And Bob (my car) blew a head, so now he's offically dead unless I come up with the dough to fix him. -.-'
Life can really chuck you some corkers - some good news is that my ankles are getting better, so I can work again! (Finally!!!)
O yeah - an' how weird is it when you run into really old ex-s? I bumped into my first at my Uni bookshop, and we chatted, but it was weird. Not the whole -ahh-my-ex-gotta-be-polite sort of weird - but another kind... Hmmm. Dunno, but anyways.
That's it from me for now - have a good one!

The Best
You know how everyone always says that your teen/twenty years are the best of your life? Well, even though I'm not sure if I agree with that theory, I can see how people would say it.
I'm just lovin how at this point in my life everything just is. Nothing is really planned, or chosen, but things come up and out, stuff happens, a word is spoken - then Oooweee! We're all off on another adventure.
Not often is the adventure very big, but it's got this feeling to it - like the randomness, or maybe it's just a little bit of the way things are supposed to be, draws us all together, and wraps us up in a common glow of friendship and fun.
I can't explain it properly, but whatever it is - it does seems to be the best thing ever. I know why people believe that these adventures of youth are the best. It's just like that Nikelback song "Photograph" - the adventures have the same feeling as that song.
But then there's always another adventure waiting around the corner. It may not feel the same as the ones before, but it'll be different and good in it's own way. I reckon life can be an adventure all the way through - if you just let it be. It's all your own choice, so while I'm gonna enjoy all that is happening now - I'm not going to mourn when it changes. Life is too full to keep looking back.
Hmm. Quite the philosopher's muse eh? Funny how things like that just randomly break into my brain! lol. Ohweell, I have been enjoying my holidays much more than ever before. So I guess that's some kind of excuse... >.>'
And besides, all too soon my Blog will be filled with "aaahs" and "got an assignment - gotta go" and every other thing that comes with being a Uni student.
Even so, can't stop lovin' God and lovin' life, it's sooo good. Speaking of ssooo good - I'm dying to get back to gymnastics, I've been missing it something cronic (stupid ankles.. >.<), I'm proably sooo out of shape. O- almost forgot - gotta ring bout getting that beach house... whhee! Love the beach!
mm.. Neyways, proably should finish this extra-ordinary-rily long post, and put you all out of your misery! X D!

yawn - ^0^
Sleepiness... Luv the late nights - can't stand early mornings, and not being able to keep my eyes open. That suxz. Hardcore.
Went to the National Gallery yesterday arvo. - it was heaps cool. I loved checking out some of the insane stuff they had there. Most of it didn't cut it for me - but some of the stuff... Dude. It was so cool.
Had to hop around on my crutches though which wasn't cool...
Speaking of which, it looks like I might getting off them this weekend - yes!
Btw, how sad is it - only one more month of holidays and summer... WHAAA! =''( Must do lottsssss of beach trips - can't stand winter. Well, actually I can...
But has anyone else noticed how people hook up so much in the colder months? A guy I worked with before had this theory that it's more fun/comfortable to snuggle up with your bf/gf in winter - which is why all these couple start popping up everywhere! Mind you, I think it's much better just to curl up with a book, a mug of hot chocolate, and a nice fire. Mmm. Much better!
Must say though, I'm so hoping I'll be able to make it to the snow this winter at least once. I'm so hanging out for boarding. Mind you - I can't actually snowboard, but I can iceskate, and rollerblade and I have done a teeeny, wincy bit of skateborading, so I hope all the above will help get the hang of it. *fingers crossed* 'Coz I'm not sure that I have much of a chance. Lol. ohwell.
Mph - in the mean time it's still 30+ outside, so let's not get depressed about the cold too soon!
^-^, check y'all l8r - can't think of much else to write.
bye! B.
