doing things

Okay, so I'm doing lotsa things - uni, stuff, art, stuff, oh! Oh! Watching Foxtel stuff! *squeee* Soo excited - we've finally gotten Foxtel at home and I just love it.... Yay for the Cartoon Network! I watched "Memoirs of a Geisha" (sp?) yesterday - I loved it!
Heh - I didn't even shed a tear *so proud* - I thought it was good - and I really enjoyed the scenery - purttiful Japan. I can't wait to go over there!

In between all the stuff and bother, I've decided that when I come back from Europe, have finished my degree and have a full time job, I'm gonna get a new (second-hand car). But guess whats really exciting! It's gonna be one of these:

a Toyota Supra, 1993-94, but fully kitted out-

or a Nissan Skyline - one of these!

Aren't they just the most to say the least? Of course, my preference is for red or black color wise, and some luffly sub woofers in the boot, but second-hand means not much choice. But like I really care - after BoB ANYTHING is an improvement! Not that I'm complaining, I'm lucky to have a car that is reliable. I just also adore driving high-performance cars.... As in totally nuts about them!

Besides all that, the term is trotting along abominably fast - end of this week and it's class free for two weeks! Plus, once that's over, before you know it the end of semester will be looming upon us, and with it - trip to Europe!!!!!!!!!! @.@

In the mean time, I'm have fun hanging out with some new friends from church (well, old friends now - we've been doing stuff for about two months or so now) and I can't wait for Black Stump - it's in one month and one day!!!
AND I AM SO GOING THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!

(random insert) With a T - I - Double G-rrr, Pokachou I choose you!

Panic attack!

*Aiiya!*

So the story goes like this -
right
- It was a dark and stormy night -
no it wasn't! It was today you silly nitwit!

Oh yeah.

Anyways, if my silly head (not silly) will stop interrupting I can get to work...

Right, so like I was saying, today I received the positively worstest grade I have EVER gotten!!!

(ok - over exaguration- Muse tends to do that a bit. It was 11/20, so I passed by one mark)

I got an instant case of "Emo-muffiness" and got TOTALLY depressed. But once the tut. finished, my tutor asked to speak to me and said that basically I didn't deserve the grade I got, but because I didn't set it out properly that's what I got!

I was sooo relieved when she said that. Basically I just have to talk to her before I hand in my assignment next time and I'll be ok.

CHEERS!!!

XD, I'm-happy-now, tb.

Almost done.

Ausika's log 0850 hours:

I take up pen once more, only to confirm a rumor of the direst consequences. It is beyond my reckoning as to how these events were set in motion, but they where and of that I have no doubt. It was after the successful operation that took out Captain Takkahi's ship, The Trade Wind that I first learned of the whisper.

It is rumored that under the guidance of the Pirate King, the Pirates are sailing for destinations unknown. So it seems that in the manner they arrived, suddenly and without warning, is the manner they shall leave.

But not if I have anything to do with it.

It was over a steaming cup of Jasmine tea that I learned of the deeper reasons for the Pirate's abrupt departure, and that made me all the more determined to stow away and finish this war.....

I had knelt at the rough pine table, with no more thought on my mind than to escape the perpetual whining of the guild leaders. Head of the Saber clan I had been for five long years. I was well on the way to out-striping the Venerable Donji, the only female leader besides myself sit in this position. And now the leaders of the Ninja clans wanted me to pick a successor for my title - that or be wed and by the stars above will I not be married off like a water buffalo up for auction!!

So it was such circumstances that brought me to the local village tea house, in disguise of course. No one would think of searching for the Sensei of the Sabar clan in a homely little place as this. Though, aside, I quite enjoyed the informalities of the affair. And for their credit, their tea is almost as good as my personal brew. Almost, but not quite.

There, alone with my thoughts drifting on the spirals of sweet scented jasmine, a muted conversation caused me to pick my ears.

It would appear that the pirates are leaving to search for an ancient relic. And with this relic they were going to set up a kingdom on the opposing island of Yuna. We had the larger land mass - our home island being shaped like a crescent moon, Rue slightly encircled the island of Yuna. The guild leaders had begun settling Yuna when the pirates had disrupted our plans many centuries ago. They had formed a barrier between the motherland and our stranded companions. Once in a while a brave, if foolhardy, ninja would slip between the pirate ranks and bring us messages from the island.

We had not heard a word from the communities across the sea in the last five years. This was our worse fear - if the clans have not been able to retain control of the island, with this new relic the pirates would be in the finest position to take that land as their outpost.

The war would never cease until one of our kind was eliminated....

I vow it will not be the Ninja Clans. To seal this vow I had left the tea house and climbed to the summit of
Mt. Eifnur. There the we, as leaders, met with our thoughts and planned the futures of our peoples. It was upon my head to stop this calamity - a task I only hoped I was capable of completing....

In the deep cool of the night I knelt in a tiny cave dedicated for the clan senseis alone and breathed in the soft wind that caressed my hair. In my mind's eye I could see the ships departing and the false hope spreading like a plague amongst our people. I could see the months of peace, and even years of quiet whilst our senses grew dull with stupor. Than the fear, the sudden strike that would decimate our lands and leave us helpless under the heel of the pirates. A cry of rage grew within my breast at the thought and I knew what had to be done.

I would sail out with pirates on the eve of my four and twenty years...

Asuika dropped her head. Alone in the depth of Mt. Eifnur, the scroll and pen fell from her shaking hand. She had never left her home lands, she had no friend to turn to, no one to bid farewell.

She did not know if this was a thing to rejoice over, or to weep. Whom could she turn to but the stars? Cold comfort their shining beauty was, and she allowed one tear. Just one cool droplet to slip down her cheek, one farewell to all she knew as home.

The guild leaders would only activate a final strike if they knew of these events - an occurance that would leave the pirates severly crippled to be sure, but defeated? Who knew....

No.

Asuika lifted her eyes. To use their own weapons against them - that was the way to grantee success. She would make sure that the pirates would never return to her homeland. It was the only way....

Just about finished you know! One more, maybe two more "chapters" and it'll be done. Comment or criticism anyone?

weirdnEss, fun and ninjAs

Nine words women use...

1.) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

2.) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

3.) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

4.) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

5.) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and
arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.)

6.) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

7.) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or Faint. Just say you're welcome.

8.) Whatever: Is a women's way of saying F!@# YOU!

9.) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking "What's wrong?" For the woman's response refer to #3.

I found this on Live Journal - this awesome community I am now addicted too -(just add it too thelist) - http://djinnthespazz.livejournal.com/ is the link for reference. It's cool though inn't? I reckon it's about 100% correct too... Fellas - take note! ;D Oh yeah - I'm Asuika on Live Journal - check it out if ya want. Oh, and here's Part 2 of the ninja vs pirate story.

Enjoy!

I'm a Ninja!

Among other things - I am a ninja!

I am also going to a craft expo. this weekend and I'm really looking forwards to it - I love looking at other people's stuff - it can really give you some great inspiration.

Not that I really need any - I've got a list of art projects to do that is as long as my arm! (Well just about!) Aside from that I'm busy with all the stuff that needs to be done for one reason or another...

Why don't we have more time in each dayyyyy???

On to other things-

*~~~*~~~*~~~
Asuika's log 0900 hours:

We gave those rascally pirates a good whipping last night.... Operation Drop the Cannon went off perfectly. It took the best of my girls - Black Owl Rekku, Sparrow Hawk Emi, and an import - Cherry Blossom Red from special op.s. But we got in and we got out, all according to plan.

.... There wasn't a star in the sky when I gave the signal to move out. We had left the majority of our weapons back at base. This mission required stealth and silence - what ninja mission doesn't?

My trusty folded steel throwing knives had been blackened especially for tonight. I was carefully passing my sharpened knives over a candle flame when Rekku had approached me - rather timidly I thought. "What ?" I asked her absently, still concentrating on the flickering flames. "Why are we covering The Trade Wind?" She questioned. "I thought I explained that to you during the briefing." I frown at her and she dropped her head, her brown hair falling over her eyes. "Yes Sensei- but I still think that we should go for The Rebound - it is their head quarters after all..."

Sighing I tucked my sooty knife into my left boot. I still had to wrap my hair up, but Rekku was causing trouble again and this mission was important - at least, that's what my warriors thought. It was better to leave them in the dark. They only needed to know what I chose to tell them. "Come." I led her down from the amoury to the heart of the caves. My room was at the center of our complex, right next to the briefing room. Living at the center of the Shadow Saber's headquarters could be painful to say the least, but it was the price I paid as the head of our clan.

Inside my softly lit room, I motioned for Rekku to sit behind the rice paper screen that was decorated with cherry blossoms. No one was allowed into my inner sanctum, that was one rule upheld with uttermost strictness. There were some privileges being the head too.

Blue eyes stared back at me from my mirror as I wrapped up my blonde curls with black velvet ribbon, listening to Rekku's urgent rant. "...plus it's where Captain Takkashi sleeps - that's just another reason why we should launch our offensive at the heart of the pirate scum!"

Blowing out the candles placed around my dressing table I turned and walked out, Rekku following me silently. Leading her to the top of the look out peak, I acknowledged the night guard's bow and pointed to light, twinkling softly in the harbor. Gentle song of the nightingale mingled with the swishing of the ocean as I stood on the edge of a 95 meter drop.

"We are attacking The Trade Wind because contrary to popular belief, that ship the centeral player in this game. " Rekku sat silently behind me. "I do not want you to question my desicion any longer." Rekku bowed in acquiesce, leaving the point.

I knelt down and stared out over the scene that awaited us at the foot of Mt. Eifnur. Soon enough we would face our opponent - but they would never see us coming -

"Sensei!" Asuika dropped her pen, a trail of ink skittering over the parchment. "What?!? What makes you interrupt my notes?"

"Er... It's time for dinner. We are having sushi - your favorite."

"Fine!" Asuika rose, the rest of the story would have to be finished later. There was so much to tell, but the sweet scent of sushi called loudly. Her notes could wait...

Ok - so I've randomly started this Ninja vs Pirates story... I dunno why, I just felt like it. Hope you enjoy!

Hello from reader land!

What's it like out there?

In here (the land of surfing the internet; otherwise known as cyber space), it's pretty weird. All these packets of information zooming past at break-neck speed. I can't even see the ones concerning popular issues!

Such as - well, anyone notice how fast legislation is being laid down in parliament? To me it almost looks like The Coalition is laying the ground work for the changes that they want to make before the end of Howard's office. I know it's a weird theory, but I think it's valid. I feel that the only reason we are seeing all these government 'take overs' a.k.a the Tasmania hospital, or the new laws on Indigenous affairs, and such like, is that the Coalition have an agenda and they've got to complete it - quick stat! Heh; I'm surprised the Liberal party hasn't announced a new curriculum for public schools across Australia yet. Oh - wait, silly me - that's one of the things the Labour party agrees with. Guess there's no need for the Liberal party to roll that out. They can turn their attention to other issues, such as climate change. Ooops - Labour agrees with their policies there too - at least concerning mining in (surprise, surprise) Tasmania.

Gee - are there any differences between the Liberal and Labour parties? I can't tell any more with Johnny and Kevin - the look alike twins.

Don't get me wrong, I vote for the Liberal party, (I think that statement will get me killed out in reader land - good thing I'm stuck in cyber space) but I don't know if I will this time around. I guess we'll see how the wind blows.

Doh! Cliche!

So sorry to bore you all, I am rather picking up on my political classes. And no, I won't go into detail as to WHY I think we should be involved with politics - let's just say that I really, really, really think we should be!

Tata for now, or TTFN - t. :3

Raindrops

Whoa-Whoa-Whoaaaa! What's new pussy cat?

Well, actually, there isn't an over amount of exciting stuffs, but uni is going well, and i think it's because I feel like I can actually cope with the work this semester. And if I keep on doing the stuff I'm supposed too, I'll be fine.

Hmm - the really exciting stuff is that Alli and I have almost - wait for it.... Almost finsihed the rough draft of the first part of the story we've been writing for five HUndred years - Gameian. YEs, we are almost half way through!!! ^_^

It's sooo exciting!

Meh. THat's it from me.

Toodles, tinka.

Blue Sky Window

Okay - don't ask me about the title, 'coz I don't know. In fact, I know nothink! Nothink I tell you!

Speaking of nothink, this semester is going to be exactly that - nothink. Nothink but work that is! gah... Although the one bright spot in my life will be Black Stump.

And this year I AM GOING!!!! I have already asked for the weekend off - four months in advance, and if they don't like it they can go jump in a lake!

So there....

Quick Note

This a quick note - I went to Scripture Union Camp last week, Chill Out as it is officially labeled. No - I wasn't a camp, but a leader... >.>

My favorite thing about camp?

The kids!! I loved the bunch of kids I got. Three boys - all in grade six. They were interesting, funny, and intelligent (surprise, surprise o.o - lol - kidding!). We had a lot of challenges for the kids throughout the camp - competitions between the groups and all that. The boys were hilarious to work with during these - I just had to give them a little nudge, poke or idea and they were off and running! Our group pretty much wiped out the competition in all but one event and as the boys pointed out (loudly I might add) that was because I wasn't with the team in that event!!!

Although the extent of my 'helpfulness' could be considered dubious as it was a quiz night and I am notorious for getting the answers wrong in quizzes...

So that was my camping experience - that and influenza (which wiped us all out), accidents and tiredness! Up at 7:00am every morning, bed at 11:00pm... Ridiculous hours for a girl that llllloooooovvvvvvvveeeeeessssssss her sleep.

But I'd do it all again, and in some ways can't wait to go on another camp and in the end I guess that's the true test of how everything went.

Bye! Bella

P.s - Don't EVER bring a good book on a camp - you can't do both at once..... And, yes, I speak from experience. >.>

Com'mon

Well uni's back and when it's all said and done I almost prefer to be back to a normal schedule. Plus, for all my vows I managed to put on 2 kilos over these holidays, and regular exercise is the ONLY way I'll put it off again!!!

When I think about it, somehow I always end up doing more stuff in the holidays than I sign up to do during the uni semester. I guess I am smart sometimes!!! (ie - I know my limits during term time - o.0 shockingly enough)

I won't even get a break these next holidays - yeah, I will be run off my feet in full time work (fingers crossed its a govi. position) while organizing our (my sister's and mine) trip to Europe. Dude - I can hardly believe that prep. really gets full out in about, oh lessee... FIFTEEN WEEKS TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! o.o

Crazzzzy man. But oh, so awesome!

So, now for uni and all that jazz. I think my classes will be interesting this semester, but they shall also be a challenge - one that, if I don't pay attention to, may cost me dearly...

But never mind my melodramatics - I've just been reading some good books recently - they tend to do that to me!

Adios me amigos,

Tinka

ER-gah!

Can you believe it? Last night was the second time my car has been broken into! I know - it's like ancient - so really, I should probably expect it to happen more often. Basically, the lock on the driver's side has been damaged and all that is required to open my car is a screw driver shoved in the lock and a twist... Viola! The car is open!

I don't keep any valuables in the car simple because it is that easy to break into - but I did lose my self-contained jump starter kit - worth $80.00.

The worst thing is the thief stole my sister's Bible because it had $71.00 in it. She's upset because the Bible was an 18th birthday present from our grandparents.

But other then that, things are going okay. I've got a Scripture Union camp coming up, and that's going to be fun. I'm also house-sitting at the moment and enjoying the different location. You know what 'they' say - a change is as good as a holiday. Not that I'm entirely sure that 'they' are right, but eh. You can't really argue with a non-entity such as 'they'.

I shall love you and leave you, I'm off to sit on my butt and watch The Avatar: The Last Airbender. I just loooove that show. And though I try - I can't decide whom is hotter - Sokka or Zuko!!! ZuZu is awesome with his hair scraggly and long - and yes, I want ZxK and SxT (Zuko and Katara to get together, and Sokka and Toph to get together for those who are unaware of these awesome characters)

Neways - 'nuff b

Time is slipping away

Gah, I can't believe how quickly my holidays are slipping away from me. It doesn't help that I'm working so much either. Don't really have time for anything when you start working. Owell, at least I'll have some cash - not that I can spend it!

I'm saving to go overseas next year - can't wait. Speaking of which, one of my awesome, gorgeous besties is heading over to the UK for four months - I dunno what I'm gonna do with out her.... : (
But still, I wish her all the best and hope she has an UBERLY cool time! ^-^!

Oh - you'll never guess what either - my sister and I have been working soooo hard, but finally our website is up and running. Not fully finished yet, but we've still got a semblance of structure and content together - it's going to be waaayyyy awesome when we finally get everything up - but check it out anyway! I'll be putting up a proper banner in a bit - but for now the link is : Dual Space.
So, that's been occupying my time - plus I have plans to make an - oooh, you'll have to find out later - when I've finished it.... Trust me - it's far out. ;)

Be seeing you,

Tb.

So much to tell you...

Okay - I've got so much to tell you - not that you'd really care, but anyway, this is my blog and you can't do anything about it!!! Eh... Of course, you could always close the page and never come back again, but you wouldn't want to do that would you?

So anyway - what's been going on you ask? Well, just about everything.

I've been to Wakefield Park - and believe it or not, was actually allowed behind the wheel of a car!!! @.@

And not just any old cars either - cars that are not insured (you sign over all insurance and life rights when you go on the track) and happen to be really sweeet.

As in - I drove a Mazda MX-5, a BMW and *squeeeeeee* a PORSCHE GT3 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >.<
I could hardly believe it when the kind gentlemen that owned these cars took the time to take us (me and my friend) around the track, teach us what to do, and best of all - let us drive!

I got up to a 100k around the corners, 170k on the stretch [it was a really small straight :( ] but the craziest thing was driving that Porsche - 7,000rpm in 1st gear and with all the fat tires, and crazy suspension and all that, I still managed to drift the thing, and spin it out... Twice!!!

Anyway, that was one of the best days I have ever had - I couldn't stop bouncing alll day.

Besides that - I've been on holidays from uni - I'm in the middle of my second week of holidays - I've got three more weeks to go. YAY for long uni breaks!!! ^-^

I've been working heaps, doing lots of stuff with my art, check out the new jewelry I've been making at my deviantART account.

Eh - come to think of it, I guess not that much has really been happening - it just feels like it. I've been running around so much - hanging out with my friends, and all that - so much to do, so little time! 0.o.

Adios amigos - I've gotta fly,

Cioa, t.

Tuesday, May 15

What's been happened dude?

What's been happening dude? ....

I'll tell you what - EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really? Like totally no way dude....

Ah - like totally yah way....

So anywho, between all the stuff that I have to do, all the stuff I want to do and all the stuff I volunteer for, I hardly have time to blink. Or so I think.

Somehow I've managed to level myself up to level 38, and back again from 0 to 26 on one of my new favorite hobbies - those that are into MMORPGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games) will know exactly what I mean. My new baby ToP. Otherwise known as Tales of Pirates. I won't do a long rant, 'coz I know that that many people are not that interested - but just let me at least state that in this game, I will become a Dread Ninja Pirate and rule the world!
*evil cackle*

Mwhahahahaaaaa! >: D

ph3r teh 4rs!!!

Besides that, my younger sister, her best friend and I (with whom we will unite and rule the world ..>.>) have been using our evil genius to create a "Gangsters and Molls" social night, where we shall hereby entertain all and sundry with - A SECRET! Sorry - can't tell that's classified, need-to-know dope my friend, and although you are one cool cat, this is one speakeasy you will get the bum's rush if you so much as bust a wooden nickel.

You just gotta love the Roaring Twenty's! Or those for outside the know - the 1920-1930s during the Prohibition. That's all I'm giving away - you have Google, go look it up! ^_^

Whilst you're there check out Lackadaisy, an awesome comic. Trust me - it's not just ish kabibble, it's the cat's pajamas.

As you can tell, it's been taking up a considerable amount of my brain power. But that's ok 'coz it's only three weeks until holidays for me!! I've got five wonderful, glorious, fantablous weeks off after my one and only exam. Just gotta get through the weeks - I've got a lot of assignments to do. But she'll be right mate, she always is.

Time for me to pipe down and mooch off - I have to see a man about a dog.

See ya.

Thursday, April 26

Eeep

Eeep. I swear - me brains are in a puddle around my feet!

I spent from 7:30am to 7:00pm yesterday doing an assignment that's due on Friday (yes, on a public holiday. I am such a nerd... -.-') and squillions of hours today on another one that's due on Monday. Well, I've handed the Monday one in, and I have a couple of hundred words to write and some tweaking and I'll have finished the Friday one. Gah. Hate assignments. Brain. Melting...

Seriously.

Anywho - I am so hanging out for Wakefield Park. What is a Wakefield Park you ask?
Well, i's this nice lil' race track you can fang around on without breaking da law! How sweet is that!?

Ok - I know BoB really isn't much for fanging around in (BoB is my Ford Laser KA - circa 1984), and I don't have anything else in my garage or up my sleeve, but I do have friends...

And those friends happen to own a Porsche, BMW and Mazda MX-5 respectively!!!!

No - I won't get to drive, but at least I'll get to ride. And really, I CAN'T WAIT!!! It is gonna be awesome!!!

So anywayz, that's me atm - school, school and more school, a bit of work, and hanging out for D-Day. D for Drivin' that is!!!

;3, tinka.

School's in

School's in for the next half of the semester...

Ugh. I've really been running behind the ball this semester. I don't think that jumping straight from uni to full time work to uni again is the best idea. Yes, it pays REALLY well, but I AM NEVER DOING IT AGAIN!!!!

1) Because the head trip that you need go through to change your ways of thinking about how to get the job done is pretty huge

2) Because you just run yourself into the ground - and don't get a chance to recover

But my main reason is that 3) You just wind yourself up with all the work and never get a chance to un-wind and recuperate. I think I've been getting sick since last year, but I can't so I haven't gotten properly sick for the last five or six months. I bet you anything as soon as I go on holidays after exams I will come down with the nastiest 'flue/cold/virus for a week or even two.

I just can't get sick yet - so I don't. But boy, is it ever gonna hit as soon as I relax a tiny bit!! Ick.

Hmm. JET's coming to town and I'm going to see their concert!! I can't wait - it's gonna be awesommmmeee!

Other than that - really no new developments lately - I'm chokers with tons of stuff to do - but nobody could accuse me of being boring thas fo' sure!

T out. :3

ALL NEW!!

So I'm saying that it's "ALL NEW" (it being my Blog) but it's not quite as there is still quite a bit left in the ol' toothpaste tube (First post, 2004(?)).

;D - Yup I really am insane and lovin' it.

It's funny though, for some reason I'm become a bit of a social butterfly. At my old church I was the last to know about anything - but at this one... Well, gasp-shock-horror my sister and I are becoming known as the people that organize the social stuff. We have an invite to everything practically 'coz we have started it/and or where there when it got started then decided to jump on the bandwagon. Of course, that doesn't apply to absolutely everything - but one day...

One day I* will rule the world!!!

*evil laughter* Mwhaahahhhaaahhaaa-

(*I being me and the evil dust bunnies)

haahhhahhaahhhhaaahhhhaahhaaa *choke-cough-pant*

Ahem. You weren't supposed to know that. I will have to send my minions out to pay you a little visit. Just check under your bed/couch/stove/chair/table/cupboard/bath mat. Yes - my minions are everywhere and they will get you!!!

All that aside, I guess you could say that I'm really enjoying the chance to get to know people that I don't always talk too. You know, I get afraid that people will reject me if I bother them too much, or that they won't want to hang out with me (I am a bit crazy I guess... O.O).... But I'm learning just to try anyway. I know I've often wanted a random invites and no one's given them to me. So what if my plans don't always work out (ie - everyone pikes!) they will another time, and I've got to give it a chance.

Life is so much sweeter when you just try.

Sorry for the mile-long post - have fun - I'm off to a movie and coffee with friends!

Ciao, tb. :3

Pure Flow

*sings*

I bring the pure flow - water around, the rocks of life won't pull me down -
I bring the pure flow - rising above, the storms of life to live and love...

The old can be made new, the lost can be found... The pure flow...

(Super Chic) Gotta love 'em!

Rant:
I need boys like a bowling ball dropped on my head (which means not at all!!!) [another Super Chic quote] but why do I still need them then???? Grrr. I totally thought I had grown out of this - dreaming, wishing, hoping - you know... The suckiness that comes with crushes. I gotta new one that I'm trying (rather unsuccessfully as you might be able to tell) to ignore. It's not easy. Stupid emo-ness.

~~~*~~~
Anywho - it's class free for the next week - I'm working almost everyday of the week, and when I'm not working I've been semi-working on an assignment (2,500 word essay) that's due the end of the week after class free. Er, two weeks away I guess.
My friends and I are holding an "End of Summer" picnic this Saturday. Yes, we are aware that summer has been over for those occupying the great land down under for goodness(!) - it'd have to be about a month and a half now. But along with the tea cups and pretty silver dishes and table clothes, we will have a beautiful (v., v., girly) tea party essentially. But it's gonna be awesomely fun! XD!
I'm currently on a roll when it comes to art stuff - I've discovered the joys of beading necklaces. I've made this pretty Victorian-esk collar thing. It's made with pearly, apple green seed beads and slightly larger soft cream pearl beads. It looks a little like the lace collars they used to wear so I call it (big surprise) Pearls in Lace.
I've also almost finished one for my sis. - red, crystal (clear) and black beads with a silver heart pendant. It's a little less complex than my first one, but I'm excited because the pattern has a lot of possibilities.
I'll put up a picture at some point! (yeah, I know I'm real bad with that, but just check out my deviant ART site - everything gets up there at some point. Search Tinka-bell)
Must go - gotta help provide for my starving family (ie cook dinner) -
Some time
Wow, it's really been sometime since I've updated my blog. Eh - what can I say? I'm an extremely busy girly atm.
I've got so much assessment - although I'm almost a third of a way through one, and finished the other, which is good. Now all I have to do is get through my in class test on Monday. Gag. Me.
I haven't really had time for much of anything between Uni and work, but owell. I am going surfing this Saturday though!!! I'm going to the coast for the day with a bunch of peeps from my church, we're getting lessons. It's gonna be fun I reckon.
Mmm, on other fronts not much is really happening. I am doing bits and pieces of art as per usual - I have all these plans to sculpt, do t-shirts, make plushies, write on the novels my sister and I are in the middle of, but as always; I just don't have the time for it all! I really wish I could be a full-time artist, but I know I'd never be able to support myself (let alone my car) on an artist's budget. Plus - art materials are expensive!
I'm thinking that I want to illustrate and write young adult's novels later on. I have to get through university first, then I want to spend some time over seas. I guess it all depends on what happens.
A rant that I have atm is all the political maneuvering over climate change at the moment. Hey, I know most people couldn't give a rat's ass, but seriously. Is it just that it's election year that the Howard government is FINALLY making some moves on climate change - or is it because of Kevin Rudd?
Heh - that poses another question, would Rudd really care about Climate Change if it wasn't election year anyway?
Mind you - not that I really know the ins and outs of political maneuvering; but I do have a Political Communications class and what with the reporting I have to do in my Journalism class on environment, water and land (which leads me right to politicians) I've kinda pick up on the games. So sue me, I actually like to know what our country's leaders are deciding for me!
I just realized that this is probably one of the most boring blog's I've written. Guess I'm not really cut out to entertain. Besides - too much insanity might kill you. How I've survived is another matter; I think it's got something to do with my curly hair. Ya know the curls act as lighting rods, channeling the insanity into shimmering translucent ribbons. Which, might I add, I then wear in my hair!
Top o' theh mournin' ta ya,
Worth While
It's over. I just finished up with my job in the public service yesterday. It was a long and at times, extremely stressful journey, but it was all worth while. The experience is priceless, and I think I learnt a little - ok, a lot more about business and stuff.
But it is sooo good to be back at Uni. I have my job as a waitress back during two days a week and uni three days a week. I'm set.
Got to go - I have an engagement party to attend (not mine ;D ), so see ya!
*happy days* :D
So happy!!! XD!
Uni starts back today - I swear -it's like going on holidays for me. I guess everyone heard how I had my exams than the very next day, I started at work. Well, I haven't stopped since - the last four months have just been insane.
Trips to Morton Island, Merry Beach; work trips to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane (Perth got canceled, which sucks - :[ ), flying for my first time (i LOVED it!!! ^-^!) Christmas and every crazy thing you could possably throw in (flooding or boys 'ferinstance) - it's just been a.b.s.o.l.u.t.l.y. crazy. I honestly (almost) can't believe how much stuff has happened. I tell you what, I 'm really looking forwards to life getting back to normal with assignments and work and everything.
Things are starting to snowball with my friends now though - I've got an engagement party to attend, picnics, dancing (at the multicultral festival, plus I'm supposed to be starting Bollywood dancing), Bible studies (I've volunteered to lead a yr 11/12 study which will be an awesome expiriance), and goodness knows what else on my social calender at the moment.
All I can say is thank goodness that my work/studies are getting back to normal even if everything is starting to rocket away!
Now that I'm starting to regain some nomality in my life at the moment, I can step back and breath. I also want to give a great big shout out to the Lord for walking with me. The last month has been incredably stressful for me, prob'ly the worst period I've yet expirienced due to exceptional circumstances at work. However, it's over, I've gotten through another life lesson (a cazillion life lessons actually!) and it's all good. YAY for uni!!!!
Did it!
My church has an art competion and the idea is that the picture that best represents the annual theme that they pick will be hung on the main hall wall. This year's theme is "One life to live - One life to give" and I did what I wanted to do - enter a piece.
Sometimes I get really inspired and hear of great opporutinites, and think - "Yeh! I'm try/do/enter that!" but than it never happens. This time it did! I did an A3 picture in ink and pastels - it took me about 4/5 hours. I'll put it up on DeviantART when I get the chance.
That's all from me for now,
:3, Tinka.
Comprehension
I always find it so amusing how you can go through your life, poke-ding along, and then all of a sudden (bad clinche I know, but it fits!) there are dozens-n-dozens of boys that start flocking around you.
I find it difficult to comprehend I'm afraid... Why is it that there is always too much or too little? Fer'instance - the whole I'm all fine doing my own little thing - then bang... Somebody (the somebody I was talking about before) rings me up out of the blue and wants to turn my life upside down; and almost succeeds quite well might I add.
Not only that, there's this new guy at work - don't get me wrong - he hasn't hit on me or anything... Yet. I kinda get the feeling that he's testing the waters - sending me little random e-mails, etc... Nothing serious or bad - it just that I feel like I've suddenly become a guy magnet or something!
Heh. I'm wondering - is there some sort of switch that clicks on at random times - attracts all the guy in your vicinity - and then just as suddenly turns off so that all guys in your vicinity ignore you for the next seven months???
There must be, and I'm gonna call it the "There Effect" 'coz for a short period - usually about a week or two, a chick can suddenly become noticed by the guy around. Thus she is "there" and no longer invisible. Until the "There Effect" switches off again that is...
So cheers to effects - enjoy 'em whilst you can. I sure do!
Hello and welcome from the Wide World of w00t!!!
I dunno exactly what it is yet, the sentance just randomly popped into my head...
>.>... <.<... ^^;
Guess what? My sis and I are planning to head over to Italy in a bit yeh? Well, I've *cough* we've decided that we'll travel by a Japanese Airline and do a stop over in Japan!! ^_^!!! Yay!
I don't know how long we'll stay, but that will come later I think...
Squee!!!!!!!!!!
I can't wait to travel - it's gonna be AWESOME!
Life as normal
Life as normal - if insanity can be normal that is... That certain someone I was telling you about? Well after a few days of walking on knife blades, I've made up my mind. At the moment our paths are not heading in the same direction, so that's that. It's over before it began.
I've had a great weekend, I took the Friday off and spent two night with my gf, and a whole heap of time catching up with friends I haven't seen in a while.
Other then that, not much has happened, so life is back to normal. Sorta.
Have a good one-
*yawn*
*YAAAAAAAAAAAAWN!* Gah. So tired. I'm glad I have this Friday off, 'coz I'm so tired. I'm sleeping over at my gfs house tonight and we've got some plans to do stuff which'll be cool.
Work is same old - same old, sometimes boring, sometimes really hectic - I don't think I mentioned this before - but you know that storm that flooded my bedroom? Well, it flooded out our offices as well. We lost about twelve PCs, and had to be temporarily relocated. But we're back now so it's all good.
I've actually enquired as to the possiblility of my staying on as a part-timer during uni. My boss hasn't given the business manager the answer yet, so I'm a bit, yeh, it's so not gonna happen. But I'm sure I'll be able to find something else part time.... Hopefully!
Other then that nothing much else is happening...
I went to see "Happy Feet" with some friends and that was AWESOME!!! Loved that movie soooo much.
It's on my list of movies to buy along with "You Got Served" and "Take the Lead". I absolutely love dancing movies. And singing movies too, but not as much. DANCING ROCKS!!!
Signing (dancing?) off for now,
T.B_o
Whoa
Man - everything is just cr-azy - seriously, by this time things are supposed to be settled from Christmas/New Year, yeh?
Well it ain't. I got into work today, and we'd been flooded. The roof had leaked during this massive hail storm that we got on New Year's Eve. We almost had a white Christmas 'coz there was that much hail - it COVERED the ground - in some places, a couple of feet deep.
So anyways, we had to move out of our building temporarily, we've gotten into the main block for three days while the carpet gets dried at work.
My family and I had been away at a friend's farm for New Years, we had a good time - I went riding, Domino was good, I rode Rusty and he was good too, but he got a bit lame. I also got a turn on Tom, who belongs to the fellow who looks after the farm. He was a Standardbred too, a nice forward-going ride. He actually reminded me of Tango, so much so, I wanted to put Tom in my pocket and take him home!
But besides the horses, I got a ton of art work done which was cool. Really though, I was aiming to tell about what happened when we got home.
We didn't have a front porch - it was buried in chip bark and soil from our garden. Water had come under the front door and puddle in our step-down lounge, underneath the recliners. My sister's and mine bedroom had water too - unfortunately the water seeped under the doors - water came under the side door, and under the book case we keep in front of the door. So we can't open that one - hopefully it dries out quickly without going moldy. And the sliding door let in water under my computer desk. Nothing was damaged which was great, but I know the case was not the same for many others. Gee, it wouldn't be a very nice surprise to come home to from holidays though!!
That's all from me now,
Ciao, TinkaBell. :3
Many happy returns of the year
Christmas may have come and gone, but things still move on, and life is still swirling around in a maze of sensations... I can't believe some of the latest developments!
Apparently for with work, I am blessed with the opportunity of a lifetime - I'm getting to visit Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and MAYBE Adelaide - and they're paying for me to go!!! *giggles* But shhh.... Even though it's planned things still change...
On that front things are awesome, on the guy front not so... At least, I'm not sure.
"Just stop and take a second - I was fine until you walked into my life!"
Yep, I'm listening to Pink - I feel it really fits what's going on at the mo. Simply because someone I thought was long gone has come back - loud and clear. Circumstances being what they are, I have every (MASSIVE) doubt(s) that the guy in question is what he says he is. Hence, a six month probation - he has to talk to someone I know once a week for six months, and then, if he's in the clear, I'll go out for ONE coffee with him.
Did he agree? Yes - and I'm as bowled over as anyone! I CAN'T believe he agreed to it!
But still - "I've got my doubts... And what if I'm right???" (Sandi Throm)
I just - honestly - don't know what to think. Unfortunately, he's put me through that before - being thrown for a hook with every step - I just don't want to go back there. So let's just say that I'm VERY cautious of where this is going. Plus -
"I don't need a man to make it happen/ I get off being free/ I don't need a man to make me feel good/ I get off doing my thing/ I don't need a ring around to make me feel complete/ don't make me break it down/ I can get off when you ain't around!" (Pussycat Dolls)
So true!!! ;)
Other then that, I'm really enjoying my brief holiday, just sitting around and doing nothing for a while is so sweet...
I'll be back to work soon, and Uni will roll around oh so quickly, but that's life, and I guess, I really wouldn't have it any other way - what else would I do with myself, if everything went so slowly?
TTFN - Tinka. :3
Thursday, December 21
So dang tired
I really am so dang tired, I'm working through to 1:30-2:00, taking a half-an-hour lunch break and jumping straight back into it. If it isn't one way, it's the other... Tons of work or none!!!
But really, I am enjoying it. One thing I can't get my head around is the fact that it's supposed to Christmas in three days! Yype!!! Sooo crazy! This year it's just going way too fast. I still feel like I'm stuck in October, but at the same time, it feels like I've been at work for forever.
Gah - right now I'm so tired there really isn't a chance in heck of me sorting out my head, so, yeah.
Happy holiday season!!!
The Little Engine that could...
Whoa. Do I ever feel like the "Little Engine That Could"... I've managed to be able to get through the last six days - somehow, someway.
We had our holiday, and directly after, I found all this work to do - tons and tons of it in fact!
I've been asked to organize forums for next year, to do some data entry and I have *gasp - shock - horror* a stack of papers to sort out in my In tray...
Gah. Of course, I'm glad I have work to do - a lack of work is never nice, but I honestly would have liked it not to happen this week. 'Coz you see, my sister and I were singing in a carols program this past Sunday - don't get me wrong - I absolutely loved it. It was just that we had been asked to do an item, and we didn't know the harmony we were supposed to be singing (I think I mentioned this last post, yeah?). Anyways since Wednesday, we had music practise whenever we could squeeze it in, I had my bestie's B'day party on Wednesday, my work christmas party on Friday, then on Friday I had to work at my casual waiteressing job from 6pm to 12:00pm, get up for dress rehearsal at 8:00am, run around for Christmas shopping after dress rehearsal, go to work again at 6:00pm, until 11:30pm, get up the next morning at 7:00am for church, as we were singing one of the choir items in the morning service, go to the warm-up tuning and whatever at 5:00pm, sing from 8:00pm til 10:00ish, go home, get to bed by 11:00pm annnnnddddd...
Get up at 6:30am the next morning for work!!!!!
Toasted. I am sooo toasted.
So that's been my week - how was yours?
Tired- out, B. :)
Wednesday, December 13
We're all going on a - SUMMER HOLIDAY!
Or rather, to be correct, we're have all been on a - SUMMER HOLIDAY! ^______^!
Fwee! Yes, our family made it up to Moreton Island and back again with only the minimum of sandfly/mozzie bites, squishedness in the car, and sunburn!
We had a long trip up north, with six of us stuck in our Land Rover Discovery for about thirty hours (there and back again) all up. (gah... butt still so sore from sitting down so long!)
When we got to Scarabrough - after many slushie stops *cough* er - petrol stops, and we took a two hour ferry ride over to the Island. We saw heaps of cool marine life on the trips (over and back) including a meter and half long leopard shark, two sea turtles, TONS of jelly fish - some brown and a big as a tire, and some blue smaller ones that floated altogether, and a dolphin and something that looked like a massive grey shark, but it was too far under to tell properly.
We landed on Bulware Beach right next to the stranded shipwrecks as the sun fell softly behind the horizon in a haze of pinky-yellow blushing clouds that dusted an aqua-purple sky. Yes, the Island was everything you would expect from a tropical paradise and more...
Too bad the more was more then we bargained for!!!
Let me explain - see Moreton Island is a sand island - that's why it had the highest dunes in the world (apparently). But when there is no rain and a massive bunch of schoolies running around on a sand island you get soft sand. Doesn't sound so bad yet eh?
I'll give you one word - BOGGED!
The tracks were deep and they were soft and they narrow and they were, quite frankly, dangerous. We had little to non mobile reception on the Island and when we were shooting through the sand, rocketing up and down and sliding from side to side - well, as you might be able to guess, it really was NOT cool. On our first day on the Island we met a gentleman bogged up his axles on one track - luckily we came when most of the hard work was already over, so we helped pull him out. But the track had been soft for so long, Dad was concerned that we'd get bogged also - even though we had decided to go back.
So my sisters, my mother and I decided to help out, and let him drive to hard sand whilst we walk to meet him. Unfortunately, we didn't realise how long the soft sand went for and we ended up walking 1 km though the burning hot sand and sun at mid-day with no water! Soo definitely not cool!!! We also had to repeat the same trick another two times - but both the second times where better as we brought water and they weren't as far. Although I should still not like to repeat the last trek either as I didn't put any shoes on and burnt/shredded my feet to bits as I sprinted over the boiling track - dashing from shade spot to shade spot trying desperately not to step on all the sticks that littered the track.
Basically, we were stuck. We even got bogged on the couple of hundred meter track that lead to our cabin! We only went up to the front axles, and got out quickly, but Dad was sick and tired of driving over the dangerous tracks, where we could never be sure if there wasn't another car barreling down the same track for dear life - if we had of met any of those - we would have been toast. Sometime we were driving through a shear rock wall, with only just enough room for our vehicle, and to make things worse, there were a lot of blind corners. You wouldn't have a hope in heck to get out of a serious accident.
On the other hand - we spent hours on snorkeling amongst the shipwrecks on Bulware Beach - there were three of them, and they formed a small inlet with on the left and one on the right and one out in the water, across the back. Multitudes of fish sheltered in the seaweed that graced the rusty frames - we saw flat head, whiting, mackerel, brim, Moses' fish (a close relative of brim), little shoals of silver fish, toad fish (of course) and these gorgeous yellow and black stripped things - the bumble-bee fish as we nick-named them. We also saw this massive starfish it was bigger than my hand!
We visited one of the light houses - it was up on the sand-stone cliffs at North point - the northern most part of the Island (duh) and Champagne Pool - where there was good snorkeling again, but it was called so 'coz the big waves from the ocean hit the rock and by the time they washed down the other side they were these beautifully soft foamy trickles - they looked like champagne gurgling down a cliff-face - hence the name.
I sat down with Dad at one point and painted my very first picture - subject: the shipwrecks. Gah - sooo hard, water and rust - not good to try for the first time, but I was happy with the way it turned out. I'll be putting up on deviantART - for those who are interested.
We saw lots of local flora - and a little bit of fauna - namely a friendly kookaburra that sat on our balcony and partook of our breakfast bacon - we fed him by hand! The other fauna we more felt than saw was the sandflies - but I'm guessing that I'm getting too old for them to really bother me - I had my share of bits, but not as many and I used to get - they ate my sisters more which was a blessin'!
Anyway, as you may see, the Island was both splendidly beautiful and terrifyingly dangerous. It was a family decision and we left on the Friday, after arriving on Sunday. We then visited the Gold Coast, stayed at Palm Beach which was lovely (the beach) and then on the Sunday we packed up again, and moved to Ballina - where we got a lovely waterfront cabin at the Shaws Bay Holiday Park.
We spent the rest of our holiday on the beach or at the local river/lagoon thing - the water there was crystal clear and the was monstrous fish in the river! Again, awesome snorkeling. Oh! And there were tons and tons of hermit crabs - some bigger than my palm!
The joy of my heart was one of the best second-hand book shops I've ever been in - I brought so many books - around about eight or nine for twenty dollars - so cool!
I think that's the basic run down - certainly, we have a tale to tell about the adventures we had on the Island, but the rest of our holiday was much more relaxed - much more what you'd expect it to be as well! But we did have fun, and it was nice just to get away and have some time with my family.
Now that I'm back there's a lot I have to do - mostly practise for an item I'm singing with four other girls - including my sister, that we haven't practised for yet, and we're doing it this Sunday! Freak out!!! This is for the Christmas carol program I'm in. Of course, my sister and I are also in the choir for that program, I mentioned it before - but I'm not worried about the choir stuff - just the item as my sis and I are second-sops, and we're supposed to be doing parts and long story short, we haven't had much experience in singing harmonies a third below before. Ok - like none, but anyways, it'll work out, even if we just end up with a really strong melody!
I'm back at my full-time job plus working at my casual job, and I still need to finish my Christmas shopping, but once the festive season is over, things should quiet right down - thank goodness! I've have more than my share of business, excitement and adventure for the next few months thank you very much!!! *whew*
One more piece of news and hopefully the last - I know this blog post is incredibly long, but it is two weeks worth of happenings, is that I got the grades I wanted at uni - SWEEET - and although I know it's not the done thing (I wouldn't want to seen stuck up, or boastful) I am so happy that I'm going to tell you that I got a CR, a DI and HD(O.O!!!!!) for my grades. SOOOO excited!!! ^________________^!!!!!!!!
Ok - I really am finished now,
TTFN, Tinka. :3
Musing
Only a little while until we go away on holidays, and I really can't wait. Work is good - I mean, I'm learning all this new stuff all the time - it's the best experiance ever!
But still HOLIDAYS! w000000000t! ^________________^! I've been waiting for ages to go away, and now the time is upon us - Mwhahhaahaaaa! *evil grin*
It really is too bad that time goes so quickly though. I was thinking about that this morning, I've been waiting to go away on this holiday for ever so long - since the end of mid-semester break. And now it's here. And then it'll be over, and my sister and I will be singing in the carols program for our church the next weekend, and then it's only like two weeks until Christmas, and I won't have done any Christmas shopping yet! Oh wait, except I did pick up a present for my youngest sister... But still!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aiiyaaaaaaa!
Time is goooone. When I really stop and think, I always bug out about how the world spins so fast, the days slip by and what do you have to show for them? Some money in the bank? A car, a house - some art work (if you're me), muscles from going to the gym, a heap of memories, good and bad - but what does it amount too?
The purpose and meaning of life is such difficult subject to tackle - sometimes I feel absolutely swamped by my own futility.
What are we here to do?
What actually matters in the end??
How do you reach fulfillment???
I'm glad I can turn to the Scriptures for answers - I've learnt that we are here to be in a rich and fulfilling relationship with our God, that what He wants for us, and that's what makes us truely happy.
Life may have it's puzzles - the times when I question why it is the way it is - I know I have an answer. One that really is a comfort. It's nice to know that I don't have to figure everything out, but can leave somethings to the Creator of this universe. SWEEET!
Just as a quick note - apologies to those that take offence with my views - heh, you've proably stopped reading by now anyway, but if you want to discuss anything with me, feel free to leave a comment and I'll get back to you.
For now, that's it from -
TinkaBell.
Bye! :3
Holla!
Holla to all and sundry,
I'm waiting for something to print out so I thought I'd write a blog out to 'whom it may concern'. We've got a temp in today - she's really nice, which is totally cool. I also went to coffee (iced chocolate for me) with my two supervisors (but they're awesome) which was nice - it was ssooo beautiful outside - a lovely warm breeze rustling through the green-leafed treetops. Very, very, very sweet.
Mind you, the sun was getting a bit hot by then - I think I got a bit burnt, but only a little, which is totally ok.
At the mo I'm not doing much at work - just filing and anything else I can get my grubby mitts on!
Oyeah - the temp. and I were talking about how we feel soo bad when we're not doing anything at work - how we like to be busy and she told me about this one time when she didn't have anything to do, so she asked her boss every morning if there was something she could do. That is, until he was all like - "you've asked me every morning for the last three days if there's something you can do - why don't you just go on the Internet or something?? I'll tell you when I have a job for you." She was all like -"Oh. Ok-ay..."
I'm flabbergasted that there would be bosses like that - but I'm working for the public service now and I'm finding the same sort of thing. Ohwell - what can you do? If there ain't nothing to do - there just ain't nothing to do!
I'll be off to gym tonight, and it's only three more sleeps until we leave for Moreton Island!!! YAYYY!!!!!!!!!! ^_____________^!!!!!! ( soooo happy!)
Adios mi amigos,
T.
It's been a long slowww day. And I missed The Avatar yesterday. *pouts* Bummer.
Ah well, 'tis life I expect. I may not like it, but I may have ta deal wit it anywayz.
*yawn*
Outties, T. :3.
Wednesday, November 15
Ho-hum.
Ho-hum. I haven't really been up to much over the last few days... Just work - and not overly too much of that either.
I did get some singing training from a lovely friend of mine who took the time out of her very busy life to sit down with my sister and I and show us some stuff.
I went to gym. as well - my next goals:
Double 'sault off the double mini tramp
Front and back walkovers
Front flick into a front sault
Layouts
and to learn the lvl 3 rings routine (hard!!! For me anyway, 'coz I'm a girl...)
Other then that. Not much. Not really much at all.
BUT - my family and I are going away on holidys soon - to Moreton Island - it's gonna be awesome! Snokeling shipwrecks, sand-surfing, feeding the dolphins, rainforest hikes - anything and everything that you can do on the coast - we'll be doing it. *squeeeee!* ^_^! So phyced(sp?)!
'neways, that be all from me for now.
Ciao!
Living dead
I am the living dead as far as my brain is concerned -
I have no brain...
I really am this tired.
And I have to work at HillStation tonight. And tomorrow night. Sweeeeeet......
Not.
Gah. Work has been really good - I wrote a report thing today - and I'm really excited to be learning new stuff. It's just the early starts/lack of sleep that is killing me.
Ohwell, I'll slug some Barroca and hope for the best!
Tiredly yours,
T. -_- ~ z z z z z....
Wednesday, November 8
Oh wow!
Oh wow - and I do mean wow...
I have been at my new job for tow days now - and besides being absolutely exhusted from lack of sleep I haven't really had to do anything!!!
Yesterday I was introduced to everyone and I prepared for the Melbourne Cup - And won the $2.oo sweep with 'Delta Blues'!!! And I left my fog lights on in BoB so the poor thing just died, had to wait for the NRMA to show up and re-charge my battery. But for all the nothing I did, it sure was exhusting.
Up today at 6:30 am again - this early starts are killing me!
But the training morning I did was fun, and then I did nothing all arvo again.
Hey - it's all good with me! ^_^!
Going home now - bye!
*gnaw, gnaw*
*gnaw, gnaw* I'm alllowed to chew, kick, generally and other wise destroy, kill and maim my university stuff - I'M FINISHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today I had my last exam on M.A. at 9:00 o'clock sharp. Mind you, I hadn't managed to get any study done for this exam at all. Unlike my previous exam - C.&M.R. where I manged to do a solid five or so hours (*sweatdrop* -_-' ~ that really isn't much either eh?), I just didn't get any done. So ya know, I got up at 4:30am this morning and did about three hours solid until I had to leave for uni. Hey it worked - I was awake - *gasp-shock-horror* and I'm confident that I did well enough to pass and I think I'm sitting on about a Credit for both exams at the moment. So yeah, I'm a happy chicky.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Total undersatement of the year - I've just finished my second year of uni and my grades are actually improving! Being the fanatical perfectionist that I am when it comes to my own preformance, I am absolutely physed about it! ^__________^!!!!!!!!!!! O happy days!
And I know I own God a big thankyou for everything this semester. Things have had their ups and downs, but life is so good and I know that all I have and all I do belongs to Him for the glory of His Holy name. So thanks God!
Plus, tomorrow I start my holiday job and earn tons of cash - yippeeee!
Yours 'til the cow jumps over the moon,
TinkaBell. :3!
Gah. I've got another exam on the Monday - three hours long, and I haven't started studying for it yet. = P.
My sis and I are starting another project besides our current novel - we're starting up a weekly four-panel comic strip. But none of anything is going up until we have a decent backlog - or else we'll get behind!!!
Adios - my brain is dead.
Exams
Exams. I have two looming over my head - and I'm not too worried about them, as I've gottten my grades back for the rest of the assessment - essay/reports DI's, and HD's for tut. participation. So I need to get like - 4% on my exams to pass the unit, but coz I want a DI for my units - I need get a CR at least.
So I really should get on with some more study... At least a couple of hours more - which I will do, maybe just not right now.
Or later now...
Or later full stop?
Gah. Ahhhh...
Gotta do stuff.
Adios!
Lack of -
I've just noticed that over the last year there has been a surprising lack of mentioning boyz/hating them/usual annoyng stuff in my Blog content. Hmm - totally a good thing, ni? Ni!!!
Summer is on the way, holidays, beach - sun, sand and shipwrecks! My family and I are going to Morten Island(?) in about three or so weeks time - YAY!!!
Gah - so, stuff ya'll - I dunno, *sings*
Christmas Carols are on soon - my sister and I are in the choir - plus we're doing a sperate item together with this other chick, which will be fun. The choir gets to sing 'Joyful, Joyful' from Sister Act 2 - gotta love it!
I just love singin in choir I've decided. Its soo powerful - 'coz it doesn't matter if you're not Aretha Franklin, or Frank Sinartra (sp!) - or heaven forbid, Elvis! If you can hit the notes and are not tone deaf, you can sing in a choir. And the best thing is that when you all sing together, the most beautiful notes pull together into a powerful - almost angelic sound. Yep, singing together, in a choir is one of the best expirances ever. Epecially when you stand in a circle, and you can really hear the music.
It's waaayyy cool.
Neways, that's all from me for now - I gotta go catch a lecture.
Bye, T.
So one more week and a bit and I'm off to my summer holiday job - I'll be working my @$$ off - but I'll be getting lotsa dough, so i's al'ight.
In the mean time - stuff is stuff and life is life - love it and live it!
It's my birthday!!!
Yes, yes, yes, it is indeed the day of my birth.
Sometime twenty one years, and twenty five minutes ago, I was born in a hospital.
Yea, though it t'was no birth out of the ordinary, it did but bear not signs, no symbols, nothing extrodinary.
Nothing but a sliver of quick-gypsy blood that fortold - nay forwarned - the beginning...
The beginning? Of what? Well, you may ask.
And it's the funniest thing. Not much really! -_-'!
Twenty one years I have lived and loved - all to what gain?
Not much at all, 'cepting I have one thing - one thing that I possess - a treasure most dear....
One that came with extrodianary cost, a sacrifice of blood and tears....
An answer, sought after by all and sundry -
And I'm not gonna tell you what it is!
Because even if I did, you wouldn't believe me.
It's just one of those things.
But it's alright.
I do hope that your birthdays are a as happy as mine -
Many Happy Returns of the Day to all those that have a birthday today,
And those that don't.....
WELL!
*sings loudly*
A very merry unbirthday to you, to you,
A very merry unbirthday to you, to you,
A very merry unbirthday to ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sayanara all,
TinkaBell, The Birthday nominated Princess. :3!
P.s. - A :heart: to my family and friends who are such a blessing in my life - LOVE you LOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Freak Out!!!
Today was one of those days....
You know the kind - where you are stressing out all day (me about this stupid assignment) and it's just so hard to get through 'coz you're really tired - but you have to or you're $cr3w3d?
Well yeah, I had one of those days.... I had to work today - I only had a little bit left to do on my assignment that was due today 'coz I've been working on it for a week and half now. But the problem was I had NO idea how long it would take me to finish off the last of it. And, like I said before I had to work. So just in case, I got up at 7:00am (oh- gag me!!! >XP) and did some work on it before I left for work. I was SOOOO tired, 'coz I've had late nights and pretty early starts all week - and they were finally catching up on me. Neither the less, I worked as hard as I could to get everything done so I could end my shift as soon as possible and get to uni, which was 45 minutes away!
I managed to get off at 2:00pm (I usually finished at 2:30pm-3:00pm), raced to uni, got my assignment finished half an hour before the dead line (great for me - it's usually only finished ten minutes to!) used that time to check it over, five minutes to go, tried to get it off, but the computer wasn't printing, then I didn't have enough credit - ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*shakes fist*
I was internally screaming, crying, and freaking out, mostly because 'All late assignments will not be accepted' O.O!!!
But after running around like CRAZY I got to talk to my tutor - thank goodness he was there! - and he said I could go fix it up, and not to stress.
Well, I said thankyou, and that I can't stop stressing - I've been stressing all freakin' day!
But it got handed in, and that's all that matters at the moment. I have one more assignment, two exams and it's the end of the semester! YAY! XD! I'm also going shopping with my bestie on Sunday at a depo, so that's gonna be awesome - especially as I have money to spend! Double YAY! XD! XD! I'm cheering, hopefully that's the end of stressfulness for the next two weeks, then stressful exams and it's all over! 'Course, I still have to survive my new job, 'coz I really wnat to impress them, especially as I didn't even have to put in my resume!
But I'm going to Fraser Island with my family soon, and I'll be able to de-stress then. Nice!
Adios for now,
T. :3
P.s. - Sorry about the long post again - life just keeps on rolling - right? Well, it has too. But in the mean time, I get to vent to all you readers out there (maximum of one right?) *giggles* Or to empty cyberspace. At least it don't care how long I go on for! XD!
