*yawn*

*YAAAAAAAAAAAAWN!* Gah. So tired. I'm glad I have this Friday off, 'coz I'm so tired. I'm sleeping over at my gfs house tonight and we've got some plans to do stuff which'll be cool.

Work is same old - same old, sometimes boring, sometimes really hectic - I don't think I mentioned this before - but you know that storm that flooded my bedroom? Well, it flooded out our offices as well. We lost about twelve PCs, and had to be temporarily relocated. But we're back now so it's all good.

I've actually enquired as to the possiblility of my staying on as a part-timer during uni. My boss hasn't given the business manager the answer yet, so I'm a bit, yeh, it's so not gonna happen. But I'm sure I'll be able to find something else part time.... Hopefully!

Other then that nothing much else is happening...

I went to see "Happy Feet" with some friends and that was AWESOME!!! Loved that movie soooo much.

It's on my list of movies to buy along with "You Got Served" and "Take the Lead". I absolutely love dancing movies. And singing movies too, but not as much. DANCING ROCKS!!!

Signing (dancing?) off for now,

T.B_o

Whoa

Man - everything is just cr-azy - seriously, by this time things are supposed to be settled from Christmas/New Year, yeh?

Well it ain't. I got into work today, and we'd been flooded. The roof had leaked during this massive hail storm that we got on New Year's Eve. We almost had a white Christmas 'coz there was that much hail - it COVERED the ground - in some places, a couple of feet deep.

So anyways, we had to move out of our building temporarily, we've gotten into the main block for three days while the carpet gets dried at work.

My family and I had been away at a friend's farm for New Years, we had a good time - I went riding, Domino was good, I rode Rusty and he was good too, but he got a bit lame. I also got a turn on Tom, who belongs to the fellow who looks after the farm. He was a Standardbred too, a nice forward-going ride. He actually reminded me of Tango, so much so, I wanted to put Tom in my pocket and take him home!

But besides the horses, I got a ton of art work done which was cool. Really though, I was aiming to tell about what happened when we got home.

We didn't have a front porch - it was buried in chip bark and soil from our garden. Water had come under the front door and puddle in our step-down lounge, underneath the recliners. My sister's and mine bedroom had water too - unfortunately the water seeped under the doors - water came under the side door, and under the book case we keep in front of the door. So we can't open that one - hopefully it dries out quickly without going moldy. And the sliding door let in water under my computer desk. Nothing was damaged which was great, but I know the case was not the same for many others. Gee, it wouldn't be a very nice surprise to come home to from holidays though!!

That's all from me now,

Ciao, TinkaBell. :3

Many happy returns of the year

Christmas may have come and gone, but things still move on, and life is still swirling around in a maze of sensations... I can't believe some of the latest developments!

Apparently for with work, I am blessed with the opportunity of a lifetime - I'm getting to visit Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and MAYBE Adelaide - and they're paying for me to go!!! *giggles* But shhh.... Even though it's planned things still change...

On that front things are awesome, on the guy front not so... At least, I'm not sure.

"Just stop and take a second - I was fine until you walked into my life!"

Yep, I'm listening to Pink - I feel it really fits what's going on at the mo. Simply because someone I thought was long gone has come back - loud and clear. Circumstances being what they are, I have every (MASSIVE) doubt(s) that the guy in question is what he says he is. Hence, a six month probation - he has to talk to someone I know once a week for six months, and then, if he's in the clear, I'll go out for ONE coffee with him.

Did he agree? Yes - and I'm as bowled over as anyone! I CAN'T believe he agreed to it!

But still - "I've got my doubts... And what if I'm right???" (Sandi Throm)

I just - honestly - don't know what to think. Unfortunately, he's put me through that before - being thrown for a hook with every step - I just don't want to go back there. So let's just say that I'm VERY cautious of where this is going. Plus -

"I don't need a man to make it happen/ I get off being free/ I don't need a man to make me feel good/ I get off doing my thing/ I don't need a ring around to make me feel complete/ don't make me break it down/ I can get off when you ain't around!" (Pussycat Dolls)

So true!!! ;)

Other then that, I'm really enjoying my brief holiday, just sitting around and doing nothing for a while is so sweet...

I'll be back to work soon, and Uni will roll around oh so quickly, but that's life, and I guess, I really wouldn't have it any other way - what else would I do with myself, if everything went so slowly?

TTFN - Tinka. :3

Thursday, December 21

So dang tired

I really am so dang tired, I'm working through to 1:30-2:00, taking a half-an-hour lunch break and jumping straight back into it. If it isn't one way, it's the other... Tons of work or none!!!

But really, I am enjoying it. One thing I can't get my head around is the fact that it's supposed to Christmas in three days! Yype!!! Sooo crazy! This year it's just going way too fast. I still feel like I'm stuck in October, but at the same time, it feels like I've been at work for forever.

Gah - right now I'm so tired there really isn't a chance in heck of me sorting out my head, so, yeah.

Happy holiday season!!!

The Little Engine that could...

Whoa. Do I ever feel like the "Little Engine That Could"... I've managed to be able to get through the last six days - somehow, someway.

We had our holiday, and directly after, I found all this work to do - tons and tons of it in fact!

I've been asked to organize forums for next year, to do some data entry and I have *gasp - shock - horror* a stack of papers to sort out in my In tray...

Gah. Of course, I'm glad I have work to do - a lack of work is never nice, but I honestly would have liked it not to happen this week. 'Coz you see, my sister and I were singing in a carols program this past Sunday - don't get me wrong - I absolutely loved it. It was just that we had been asked to do an item, and we didn't know the harmony we were supposed to be singing (I think I mentioned this last post, yeah?). Anyways since Wednesday, we had music practise whenever we could squeeze it in, I had my bestie's B'day party on Wednesday, my work christmas party on Friday, then on Friday I had to work at my casual waiteressing job from 6pm to 12:00pm, get up for dress rehearsal at 8:00am, run around for Christmas shopping after dress rehearsal, go to work again at 6:00pm, until 11:30pm, get up the next morning at 7:00am for church, as we were singing one of the choir items in the morning service, go to the warm-up tuning and whatever at 5:00pm, sing from 8:00pm til 10:00ish, go home, get to bed by 11:00pm annnnnddddd...

Get up at 6:30am the next morning for work!!!!!

Toasted. I am sooo toasted.

So that's been my week - how was yours?

Tired- out, B. :)

Wednesday, December 13

We're all going on a - SUMMER HOLIDAY!

Or rather, to be correct, we're have all been on a - SUMMER HOLIDAY! ^______^!

Fwee! Yes, our family made it up to Moreton Island and back again with only the minimum of sandfly/mozzie bites, squishedness in the car, and sunburn!

We had a long trip up north, with six of us stuck in our Land Rover Discovery for about thirty hours (there and back again) all up. (gah... butt still so sore from sitting down so long!)

When we got to Scarabrough - after many slushie stops *cough* er - petrol stops, and we took a two hour ferry ride over to the Island. We saw heaps of cool marine life on the trips (over and back) including a meter and half long leopard shark, two sea turtles, TONS of jelly fish - some brown and a big as a tire, and some blue smaller ones that floated altogether, and a dolphin and something that looked like a massive grey shark, but it was too far under to tell properly.

We landed on Bulware Beach right next to the stranded shipwrecks as the sun fell softly behind the horizon in a haze of pinky-yellow blushing clouds that dusted an aqua-purple sky. Yes, the Island was everything you would expect from a tropical paradise and more...

Too bad the more was more then we bargained for!!!

Let me explain - see Moreton Island is a sand island - that's why it had the highest dunes in the world (apparently). But when there is no rain and a massive bunch of schoolies running around on a sand island you get soft sand. Doesn't sound so bad yet eh?

I'll give you one word - BOGGED!

The tracks were deep and they were soft and they narrow and they were, quite frankly, dangerous. We had little to non mobile reception on the Island and when we were shooting through the sand, rocketing up and down and sliding from side to side - well, as you might be able to guess, it really was NOT cool. On our first day on the Island we met a gentleman bogged up his axles on one track - luckily we came when most of the hard work was already over, so we helped pull him out. But the track had been soft for so long, Dad was concerned that we'd get bogged also - even though we had decided to go back.

So my sisters, my mother and I decided to help out, and let him drive to hard sand whilst we walk to meet him. Unfortunately, we didn't realise how long the soft sand went for and we ended up walking 1 km though the burning hot sand and sun at mid-day with no water! Soo definitely not cool!!! We also had to repeat the same trick another two times - but both the second times where better as we brought water and they weren't as far. Although I should still not like to repeat the last trek either as I didn't put any shoes on and burnt/shredded my feet to bits as I sprinted over the boiling track - dashing from shade spot to shade spot trying desperately not to step on all the sticks that littered the track.

Basically, we were stuck. We even got bogged on the couple of hundred meter track that lead to our cabin! We only went up to the front axles, and got out quickly, but Dad was sick and tired of driving over the dangerous tracks, where we could never be sure if there wasn't another car barreling down the same track for dear life - if we had of met any of those - we would have been toast. Sometime we were driving through a shear rock wall, with only just enough room for our vehicle, and to make things worse, there were a lot of blind corners. You wouldn't have a hope in heck to get out of a serious accident.

On the other hand - we spent hours on snorkeling amongst the shipwrecks on Bulware Beach - there were three of them, and they formed a small inlet with on the left and one on the right and one out in the water, across the back. Multitudes of fish sheltered in the seaweed that graced the rusty frames - we saw flat head, whiting, mackerel, brim, Moses' fish (a close relative of brim), little shoals of silver fish, toad fish (of course) and these gorgeous yellow and black stripped things - the bumble-bee fish as we nick-named them. We also saw this massive starfish it was bigger than my hand!

We visited one of the light houses - it was up on the sand-stone cliffs at North point - the northern most part of the Island (duh) and Champagne Pool - where there was good snorkeling again, but it was called so 'coz the big waves from the ocean hit the rock and by the time they washed down the other side they were these beautifully soft foamy trickles - they looked like champagne gurgling down a cliff-face - hence the name.

I sat down with Dad at one point and painted my very first picture - subject: the shipwrecks. Gah - sooo hard, water and rust - not good to try for the first time, but I was happy with the way it turned out. I'll be putting up on deviantART - for those who are interested.

We saw lots of local flora - and a little bit of fauna - namely a friendly kookaburra that sat on our balcony and partook of our breakfast bacon - we fed him by hand! The other fauna we more felt than saw was the sandflies - but I'm guessing that I'm getting too old for them to really bother me - I had my share of bits, but not as many and I used to get - they ate my sisters more which was a blessin'!

Anyway, as you may see, the Island was both splendidly beautiful and terrifyingly dangerous. It was a family decision and we left on the Friday, after arriving on Sunday. We then visited the Gold Coast, stayed at Palm Beach which was lovely (the beach) and then on the Sunday we packed up again, and moved to Ballina - where we got a lovely waterfront cabin at the Shaws Bay Holiday Park.
We spent the rest of our holiday on the beach or at the local river/lagoon thing - the water there was crystal clear and the was monstrous fish in the river! Again, awesome snorkeling. Oh! And there were tons and tons of hermit crabs - some bigger than my palm!

The joy of my heart was one of the best second-hand book shops I've ever been in - I brought so many books - around about eight or nine for twenty dollars - so cool!

I think that's the basic run down - certainly, we have a tale to tell about the adventures we had on the Island, but the rest of our holiday was much more relaxed - much more what you'd expect it to be as well! But we did have fun, and it was nice just to get away and have some time with my family.

Now that I'm back there's a lot I have to do - mostly practise for an item I'm singing with four other girls - including my sister, that we haven't practised for yet, and we're doing it this Sunday! Freak out!!! This is for the Christmas carol program I'm in. Of course, my sister and I are also in the choir for that program, I mentioned it before - but I'm not worried about the choir stuff - just the item as my sis and I are second-sops, and we're supposed to be doing parts and long story short, we haven't had much experience in singing harmonies a third below before. Ok - like none, but anyways, it'll work out, even if we just end up with a really strong melody!

I'm back at my full-time job plus working at my casual job, and I still need to finish my Christmas shopping, but once the festive season is over, things should quiet right down - thank goodness! I've have more than my share of business, excitement and adventure for the next few months thank you very much!!! *whew*

One more piece of news and hopefully the last - I know this blog post is incredibly long, but it is two weeks worth of happenings, is that I got the grades I wanted at uni - SWEEET - and although I know it's not the done thing (I wouldn't want to seen stuck up, or boastful) I am so happy that I'm going to tell you that I got a CR, a DI and HD(O.O!!!!!) for my grades. SOOOO excited!!! ^________________^!!!!!!!!

Ok - I really am finished now,

TTFN, Tinka. :3

Musing

Only a little while until we go away on holidays, and I really can't wait. Work is good - I mean, I'm learning all this new stuff all the time - it's the best experiance ever!

But still HOLIDAYS! w000000000t! ^________________^! I've been waiting for ages to go away, and now the time is upon us - Mwhahhaahaaaa! *evil grin*

It really is too bad that time goes so quickly though. I was thinking about that this morning, I've been waiting to go away on this holiday for ever so long - since the end of mid-semester break. And now it's here. And then it'll be over, and my sister and I will be singing in the carols program for our church the next weekend, and then it's only like two weeks until Christmas, and I won't have done any Christmas shopping yet! Oh wait, except I did pick up a present for my youngest sister... But still!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aiiyaaaaaaa!

Time is goooone. When I really stop and think, I always bug out about how the world spins so fast, the days slip by and what do you have to show for them? Some money in the bank? A car, a house - some art work (if you're me), muscles from going to the gym, a heap of memories, good and bad - but what does it amount too?

The purpose and meaning of life is such difficult subject to tackle - sometimes I feel absolutely swamped by my own futility.

What are we here to do?

What actually matters in the end??

How do you reach fulfillment???

I'm glad I can turn to the Scriptures for answers - I've learnt that we are here to be in a rich and fulfilling relationship with our God, that what He wants for us, and that's what makes us truely happy.

Life may have it's puzzles - the times when I question why it is the way it is - I know I have an answer. One that really is a comfort. It's nice to know that I don't have to figure everything out, but can leave somethings to the Creator of this universe. SWEEET!

Just as a quick note - apologies to those that take offence with my views - heh, you've proably stopped reading by now anyway, but if you want to discuss anything with me, feel free to leave a comment and I'll get back to you.

For now, that's it from -

TinkaBell.

Bye! :3

Holla!

Holla to all and sundry,

I'm waiting for something to print out so I thought I'd write a blog out to 'whom it may concern'. We've got a temp in today - she's really nice, which is totally cool. I also went to coffee (iced chocolate for me) with my two supervisors (but they're awesome) which was nice - it was ssooo beautiful outside - a lovely warm breeze rustling through the green-leafed treetops. Very, very, very sweet.

Mind you, the sun was getting a bit hot by then - I think I got a bit burnt, but only a little, which is totally ok.

At the mo I'm not doing much at work - just filing and anything else I can get my grubby mitts on!

Oyeah - the temp. and I were talking about how we feel soo bad when we're not doing anything at work - how we like to be busy and she told me about this one time when she didn't have anything to do, so she asked her boss every morning if there was something she could do. That is, until he was all like - "you've asked me every morning for the last three days if there's something you can do - why don't you just go on the Internet or something?? I'll tell you when I have a job for you." She was all like -"Oh. Ok-ay..."

I'm flabbergasted that there would be bosses like that - but I'm working for the public service now and I'm finding the same sort of thing. Ohwell - what can you do? If there ain't nothing to do - there just ain't nothing to do!

I'll be off to gym tonight, and it's only three more sleeps until we leave for Moreton Island!!! YAYYY!!!!!!!!!! ^_____________^!!!!!! ( soooo happy!)

Adios mi amigos,

T.

It's been a long slowww day. And I missed The Avatar yesterday. *pouts* Bummer.

Ah well, 'tis life I expect. I may not like it, but I may have ta deal wit it anywayz.

Wednesday, November 15

Ho-hum.

Ho-hum. I haven't really been up to much over the last few days... Just work - and not overly too much of that either.

I did get some singing training from a lovely friend of mine who took the time out of her very busy life to sit down with my sister and I and show us some stuff.

I went to gym. as well - my next goals:

Double 'sault off the double mini tramp

Front and back walkovers

Front flick into a front sault

Layouts

and to learn the lvl 3 rings routine (hard!!! For me anyway, 'coz I'm a girl...)

Other then that. Not much. Not really much at all.

BUT - my family and I are going away on holidys soon - to Moreton Island - it's gonna be awesome! Snokeling shipwrecks, sand-surfing, feeding the dolphins, rainforest hikes - anything and everything that you can do on the coast - we'll be doing it. *squeeeee!* ^_^! So phyced(sp?)!

'neways, that be all from me for now.

Ciao!

Living dead

I am the living dead as far as my brain is concerned -

I have no brain...

I really am this tired.

And I have to work at HillStation tonight. And tomorrow night. Sweeeeeet......

Not.

Gah. Work has been really good - I wrote a report thing today - and I'm really excited to be learning new stuff. It's just the early starts/lack of sleep that is killing me.

Ohwell, I'll slug some Barroca and hope for the best!

Tiredly yours,

T. -_- ~ z z z z z....

Wednesday, November 8

Oh wow!

Oh wow - and I do mean wow...

I have been at my new job for tow days now - and besides being absolutely exhusted from lack of sleep I haven't really had to do anything!!!

Yesterday I was introduced to everyone and I prepared for the Melbourne Cup - And won the $2.oo sweep with 'Delta Blues'!!! And I left my fog lights on in BoB so the poor thing just died, had to wait for the NRMA to show up and re-charge my battery. But for all the nothing I did, it sure was exhusting.

Up today at 6:30 am again - this early starts are killing me!

But the training morning I did was fun, and then I did nothing all arvo again.

Hey - it's all good with me! ^_^!

Going home now - bye!

T.

Monday, November 6

*gnaw, gnaw*

*gnaw, gnaw* I'm alllowed to chew, kick, generally and other wise destroy, kill and maim my university stuff - I'M FINISHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I had my last exam on M.A. at 9:00 o'clock sharp. Mind you, I hadn't managed to get any study done for this exam at all. Unlike my previous exam - C.&M.R. where I manged to do a solid five or so hours (*sweatdrop* -_-' ~ that really isn't much either eh?), I just didn't get any done. So ya know, I got up at 4:30am this morning and did about three hours solid until I had to leave for uni. Hey it worked - I was awake - *gasp-shock-horror* and I'm confident that I did well enough to pass and I think I'm sitting on about a Credit for both exams at the moment. So yeah, I'm a happy chicky.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Total undersatement of the year - I've just finished my second year of uni and my grades are actually improving! Being the fanatical perfectionist that I am when it comes to my own preformance, I am absolutely physed about it! ^__________^!!!!!!!!!!! O happy days!
And I know I own God a big thankyou for everything this semester. Things have had their ups and downs, but life is so good and I know that all I have and all I do belongs to Him for the glory of His Holy name. So thanks God!

Plus, tomorrow I start my holiday job and earn tons of cash - yippeeee!

Yours 'til the cow jumps over the moon,

TinkaBell. :3!

Stuff and bother

ahhh.... So tired from my CMR exams - and it was only two hours! head. still. stuffed.

Gah. I've got another exam on the Monday - three hours long, and I haven't started studying for it yet. = P.

My sis and I are starting another project besides our current novel - we're starting up a weekly four-panel comic strip. But none of anything is going up until we have a decent backlog - or else we'll get behind!!!

Adios - my brain is dead.

T.

Tuesday, October 31

Exams

Exams. I have two looming over my head - and I'm not too worried about them, as I've gottten my grades back for the rest of the assessment - essay/reports DI's, and HD's for tut. participation. So I need to get like - 4% on my exams to pass the unit, but coz I want a DI for my units - I need get a CR at least.

So I really should get on with some more study... At least a couple of hours more - which I will do, maybe just not right now.

Or later now...

Or later full stop?

Gah. Ahhhh...

Gotta do stuff.

Adios!

T.

Lack of -

I've just noticed that over the last year there has been a surprising lack of mentioning boyz/hating them/usual annoyng stuff in my Blog content. Hmm - totally a good thing, ni? Ni!!!

Summer is on the way, holidays, beach - sun, sand and shipwrecks! My family and I are going to Morten Island(?) in about three or so weeks time - YAY!!!

Gah - so, stuff ya'll - I dunno, *sings*

Christmas Carols are on soon - my sister and I are in the choir - plus we're doing a sperate item together with this other chick, which will be fun. The choir gets to sing 'Joyful, Joyful' from Sister Act 2 - gotta love it!

I just love singin in choir I've decided. Its soo powerful - 'coz it doesn't matter if you're not Aretha Franklin, or Frank Sinartra (sp!) - or heaven forbid, Elvis! If you can hit the notes and are not tone deaf, you can sing in a choir. And the best thing is that when you all sing together, the most beautiful notes pull together into a powerful - almost angelic sound. Yep, singing together, in a choir is one of the best expirances ever. Epecially when you stand in a circle, and you can really hear the music.

It's waaayyy cool.

Neways, that's all from me for now - I gotta go catch a lecture.

Bye, T.

Novels and assignements

Novels and assignements have dominated my time this week - o, besides the usual work and uni stuffs.

I handed my last assignment in this Monday - (oyeah! Do a dance! \^_^/!!!!) - I've only got two exams and than the second semester of my second year is offically oveerrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sweet dude - totally sweeet....

As for the novel - well, my sis and I have written chapter five and have already gotten into chapter six - so progress is going well. Hey, I even made an "The Illusionist Plot Graph" last night- it is way awesome. This is gonna be a story you don't wanna miss!!!

So one more week and a bit and I'm off to my summer holiday job - I'll be working my @$$ off - but I'll be getting lotsa dough, so i's al'ight.

In the mean time - stuff is stuff and life is life - love it and live it!

Check ya'll l8r,

T. :3!

Monday, October 16

It's my birthday!!!

Yes, yes, yes, it is indeed the day of my birth.

Sometime twenty one years, and twenty five minutes ago, I was born in a hospital.
Yea, though it t'was no birth out of the ordinary, it did but bear not signs, no symbols, nothing extrodinary.
Nothing but a sliver of quick-gypsy blood that fortold - nay forwarned - the beginning...

The beginning? Of what? Well, you may ask.
And it's the funniest thing. Not much really! -_-'!

Twenty one years I have lived and loved - all to what gain?
Not much at all, 'cepting I have one thing - one thing that I possess - a treasure most dear....
One that came with extrodianary cost, a sacrifice of blood and tears....
An answer, sought after by all and sundry -

And I'm not gonna tell you what it is!

Because even if I did, you wouldn't believe me.
It's just one of those things.
But it's alright.

I do hope that your birthdays are a as happy as mine -
Many Happy Returns of the Day to all those that have a birthday today,
And those that don't.....

WELL!

*sings loudly*

A very merry unbirthday to you, to you,
A very merry unbirthday to you, to you,
A very merry unbirthday to ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sayanara all,

TinkaBell, The Birthday nominated Princess. :3!

P.s. - A  to my family and friends who are such a blessing in my life - LOVE you LOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friday, October 13

Freak Out!!!

Today was one of those days....

You know the kind - where you are stressing out all day (me about this stupid assignment) and it's just so hard to get through 'coz you're really tired - but you have to or you're $cr3w3d?

Well yeah, I had one of those days.... I had to work today - I only had a little bit left to do on my assignment that was due today 'coz I've been working on it for a week and half now. But the problem was I had NO idea how long it would take me to finish off the last of it. And, like I said before I had to work. So just in case, I got up at 7:00am (oh- gag me!!! >XP) and did some work on it before I left for work. I was SOOOO tired, 'coz I've had late nights and pretty early starts all week - and they were finally catching up on me. Neither the less, I worked as hard as I could to get everything done so I could end my shift as soon as possible and get to uni, which was 45 minutes away!

I managed to get off at 2:00pm (I usually finished at 2:30pm-3:00pm), raced to uni, got my assignment finished half an hour before the dead line (great for me - it's usually only finished ten minutes to!) used that time to check it over, five minutes to go, tried to get it off, but the computer wasn't printing, then I didn't have enough credit - ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*shakes fist*

I was internally screaming, crying, and freaking out, mostly because 'All late assignments will not be accepted' O.O!!!

But after running around like CRAZY I got to talk to my tutor - thank goodness he was there! - and he said I could go fix it up, and not to stress.

Well, I said thankyou, and that I can't stop stressing - I've been stressing all freakin' day!

But it got handed in, and that's all that matters at the moment. I have one more assignment, two exams and it's the end of the semester! YAY! XD! I'm also going shopping with my bestie on Sunday at a depo, so that's gonna be awesome - especially as I have money to spend! Double YAY! XD! XD! I'm cheering, hopefully that's the end of stressfulness for the next two weeks, then stressful exams and it's all over! 'Course, I still have to survive my new job, 'coz I really wnat to impress them, especially as I didn't even have to put in my resume!

But I'm going to Fraser Island with my family soon, and I'll be able to de-stress then. Nice!

Adios for now,

T. :3

P.s. - Sorry about the long post again - life just keeps on rolling - right? Well, it has too. But in the mean time, I get to vent to all you readers out there (maximum of one right?) *giggles* Or to empty cyberspace. At least it don't care how long I go on for! XD!

Cruising

Well, I proably shouldn't be so "cruise-y" but I am. For starters, that biiggg assignment that I've been stressing about? Not so scary after all. It's only worth 30% instead of the 40% I thought it was, 1,500 words instead of 2,000 AND it's due on Friday not Thursday as also previously thought!

Boy, have I ever been so mis-informed? *thinks*

Nope!!!! Lol. I'm almost too relaxed about this now, ya know. But it tis all good. I have a brief thing to write up for another class, but it'll get done - easy peasy, lemon squeezy!!! XD!

So other big things -

Hmm.... I'M TWENTY ONE IN SEVEN DAYS!!!

Aside from that? I've got a new job!! It's over the Christmas holidays, directly after exams finish I start. As in really direct - as in my last exams on the 6th and I start on the 7th!!! But it's still really cool, 'coz I get an amazing amount of cash, flexi time, time off for my two weeks holiday to Fraser Island with my family, an insane amount of expirience - and I didn't even have to put in my resume!!!

Trust me - I've been positively CHEERING!!! ^U^!!!

Nothing much else on the rader - uni and work occupy the majority of my thoughts these days, and if it's not that, it'll be my art work. Beyond that I'm brain dead! I just don't have the capacity at the mo. - too much effort!

Oooh - I tell you what was fun, my friends and I went on a lovely moonlight picnic the other night. It was so nice - we had a candy cane fight! Yes, tis the season to be jolly - AGAIN! The candy canes and mince pies have already started to appropriate the shops. It's scary how quickly the dang things pop up again...

*sings* On the good ship, lollipop......

Sayanara all,

Tinka. :3!

Thursday, October 5

Wow-weee! O.o

Ooy. Today has just been absolutely crazy. And I do mean crazy!!!!

I had an interview with a politician at 9:30 am this morning - it went pretty well, but what a hurrauge trying to get to there! I was running late, and I had to stop and buy batteries for my recorder or I was SUNK, I needed to coax my sister into coming with me as far as the shops so that she could post something for me and then walk home, and after all that fluster, I still had to actually get to the interview!!!!

It was in the middle of the city, and of course, not being to familiar with the city center as I am, it was a challenge to find the right street, find a park (ooh - don't you HATE parking in the city???? *shakes fist* >XP) - and, once I'd managed that with ten minutes to spare, I had to trot up and down the street trying desperately to find the right building! I went through the same set of lights three times! There were some chicks outside one building having a smoke-o and I think they thought I was nuts.

Well, I finally got to the right office with 3 minutes to spare, chugged a glass of water, then proceeded to sit down with my 'polly' for half an hour.

The excitement does not end there, however - oh no my friend, it does not.

In the middle of my interview - *chringe* - my phone rang (this was the ONE thing my lecturer mentioned - TURN OFF YOUR PHONES..... Ooops! -.-'), but when I called back later, I found out that I had been offered this job that I rang about just last night!

I'll be a junior - running around doing office management with communications based work (or so I'm told). It'll be full time over the holidays - directly when my uni's finished (and I mean directly - as in the day after my last exam!) til uni starts again next year. So this is all well and good, but I can't take it until I find out whether my other job (waitressing) can spare me.

They think they can which is good. BUTTTTT - no, it is not yet the end of my saga, please do bear with me, I need to get this OUT of my head!

I've also (whilst at the interview with the pol.) been offered an opportunity to get an internship with the ACL for next year!!! I don't know whether or not I'll get it, but the pol. seemed really enthusiastic about me applying. This would be an even better opportunity than the holiday work, but it's all very valuable. Especially in this day and age when it's almost mandatory to have a degree of some sorts, and the only thing that's gonna make you stand out in a field of people all with the same degree is expirience!

I don't know how the internship will work out - I might need to drop back to two, or even one unit a semester, and of course, I won't earn much money. But the thing is, I've gotta start somewhere, and as I mentioned, the expirience would be priceless.

So, that's the saga of my day. Second thoughts, 'saga' is a bit of an understatement... More like award-winning drama!!!! Trying to sort it all out is a bit beyond me at the moment. Thankfully, I can leave it in God's hands, and just wait and see what happens.

In the mean time, my head needs to be pulled back from thoughts of tomorrow - way back to thoughts of today - I still have that nasty assignment due next week. And exams. And my twenty-first birthday. And holidays on Fraser Is. And.... *throws hands up* No wonder my head is stuffed!!!

Wow. My life has suddenly turned absolutely tospy-turvey. This is really gonna test my coping skills - I have a lot to sort out and get through. But I'm confident things'll work out. Sometimes I go absolutely nuts 'coz everything's the same routine for ages. You know - the whole "rut" complex.

But seriously, sometimes things changing, or excitment, or whatever - is too much!

My poor head.

Really.

Meh. It's all good. Viva la differance!

I know - completely out of context - but still - I rejoice! Things are moving - mind blurringly fast - but still moving! ^_^

Rolliinnnnggg aloooooooooong _ life's Hig-hwaaayyy

*sings* Rolling along, timing all gone, I'm rolling along- the biiiig, badddddddd, high-WAY of lifffffffffffffffffffffff-E!

-> Note: This is not actually a song, and the singer is not responsible for any consiquent ear-bleeding. -.-'

Annoucement - Annoucement!!!

I am here-by and forthwith over my em0-muffiness. After all, 'Stump is long gone (sort of), I wasn't there and that's life.

Speaking of life, and all that jazz, assignments are sorta stacking up - I have a 30% due next week - it's kind of evil as it is a Research Analysis Report - XP - gross.

But other then that montrosity, it's all good.

Now for the reallyyyyyy BIG Annoucement.

I'm 21 in 13 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*runs around screaming*

*bangs into wall*

Ow...

*picks herself up and starts again*

Twenty-one.

It's really creepy. Meh. I'll survive.

I don't have any big plans, but doing something random would be cool, so I might have a bit of a think. I've already blown bubbles off the top of a local hill/mountain, so I'm gonna have to come up with something as equally random/crazy/people-are-looking-at-me-funny. Which I'm sure I can accomplish! XD!

Signing off for now,

Soon-2-B-21,

T. :3!

Em0-Muffinnn

I'm an Em0-Muffin.... Leave me alone - life is aweful.... T_T.....

No - really!

'Stump crept up on me way too quickly. I didn't get a chance to ask for work off, so now I'm stuck at home working whilst my sisters and friends all go and have an awesome weekend.

So yeah.

Now I'm an em0-muffin...

...............................................................................T_T..................................................................................

Seriously....

It stinks.

Procrastination... PRO-crastination... Prooooooooooooooooooooocrastination!!!!

^_^ ~

Words can be so much fun! Especially when you ignore the semantics. Such as the fact that the very word 'procrastination' is in my vocabularly generally means that I'm ignoring something that I should be doing... X P

But in reality it tis all good. I have to study the news - 'coz I feel in my bones that we are going to have a quiz tomorrow in my tut. and my bones haven't lied about that yet. Hmmm.... It must come from my great gandmother's side. She was a Gaelic Gypsy, and I think I've inherited her blood. It certainly explains more than a few things, that's for sure!

But other then that Uni's all fine and dandy for now. I have an assignment due on Thursday, but it will get done.

One thing that's really sent me trippin' though it the fact that Black Stump is this next weekend!!!! O.o' ~ AAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIYAHHHHHHHHH!

'Tis a year since last 'Stump. And I can't tell you how much that has freaked me out. I dunno why - I mean it's kind of a "Duh" factor that it's been a year since last 'Stump as it happens every year! But it just seems like yesterday. And the fact that it's week 11 and there's only four more weeks until the end of the semester, not including the exam period. Weird huh?

Things just seem to move sooo quickly. Anyways, I'm really looking forward to 'Stump - it's gonna be a totally different expirence from last year, which'll be awesome.

But I think that be all from me as of now,

TTFN, T. ^_^!

Fishin'

Heya to all you salt water, sea water, fresh water, fish water lovin' peoples! :D

Inn't just lovely to sit on the dock - to feel the fresh tangy breeze waft by your face - ruffling your carefully styled hair? No - don't screw up your nose! I know that the briny bite of boots, bait and bass isn't particularlly nice, but the people you met enjoying the sights, sounds, and smells of Bassken Lake are! ^_^!

Yep - I made new friends online, and that's always nice! <3

Random topic, ne? But I must confess I'm on a ships, sailing, and salt water kick - I've always loved cars and ships. Not boats mind you - ships - those wonderful, flying ... *goes speechless*
I have a love affair with anything fast - *ffweee* it's pure delight!

Drink up me hearties - yo ho!!!

Here we are again

Here we are again, at the point of making, at the point of breaking - we've come so far, with no room left behind - just letting you know, it's weighing on my mind...

Did you know that POC (sorry - quick abberivation my sisters and I have given to "The Pirates of the Carrabian") Dead Man's Chest has one of the worst endings (as in suspention) in a movie I've seen in some time? Even LoTR (Lord of The Rings) wasn't as bad! = X It's enough to drive you balmy!

Can't wait... *rocks back and forwards* Just can't wait...

Of course, I have too, but it's darn well difficult.

TTFN, T. :3

P.s. - Don't ask me what the first two lines mean - 'coz I don't know. They just randomly fell out of my fingers. Yes, this does mean my brain had no say in what was being typed/written.

*thinks*

This seems to happen a lot to me...

*shrugs* ............ owell.

Monday, August 28

bangs head

I was talking to a friend of mine at uni today, and she was telling me how she feels sick when she gets stressed out about assignments - just like I do. Thankfully, I don't get the whole headache/not being able to sleep thing, but doesn't it feel so gross when you've got stuff due?

Heaven help me if I ever get to be a professional journalist - I think I'd end up with stomach ulsers... -.-'.... They have deadlines every freakin' week. Gag me!

The weekend was good - I was TIRED, but everything went ok.. I just have to get through the week until Friday, after I hand in this stupid assignment and I'll be right. Mind you, in the mid-semster break I have three major assessment pieces to work on - a 40%, a 30%, and a 20%. XP!

The one thing I do have to do is finish a play I'm writing - it's called "Ruth" and it's based on the ancient story of a woman named Ruth from the Old Testament. I've got all the ideas down - and I've written the first scene of ACT I, some I'm one/sixth of the way there.

Eh, besides that, there's not much else to report. All's well, and life goes on.

In the mean time, have a good one peoples!

^_^, T.

Uni Work

Note * I have this stuff in my blog simply to be able to save the research I was conducting for my Research Report ( 30% - X P''' Yuck... )..... And yeah.

"Signaling in the new millenium"
Privatisation and other issues

Annual General Meeting and Technical Meeting
Melbourne 17, 18 and 19 March 2000

The Institution of Railway Signal Engineers

* On the 29th of August, 1999 the Victorian Public transport system was privatised.

- Bayside Trains, Swanston Trams and V/Line Pass were franchised to National Express.
- Hillside Trains were franchised to Melbourne Transport Limited.
- Yarra Trams were franchised to Metro Link.

Privatisation Picture

*****

Isn't it all fun?? Ahhhh! *runs away screaming* It's so difficult to come up with the right stuff- in the National Library - 1. You can't loan anything out
2. Everything come up from the 'stacks' - the underground
holding systems. And that can take up to 45 minutes!

So of course - it takes FOREVER to get anything remotely relevant to your research/assignment topic. What's worse, this report is entirely National Library based. X P! Gag me! *sigh* This is my second day here, and I still haven't found what I need. Once I've gotten all I can from the book resources - like the dates of the privatisation of the various sectors of Australia's Railroad systems (feee! Trains! >_ so cool!) I'll be heading down the the newspaper reading rooms - only to get nausious, mind you, from those blasted micofilm readers. ..... ............ ......O.o'...... .......... .... *feels dizzy* I hated them last time. Still do mind you.

But asides from that things are ok. I have a long list of stuff to do tomorrow -

* 1. Write a 5 min presentation of Media Audiences
* 2. Wash BoB
* 3. Go to the National Library - AGAIN!!! @.@'
* 4. Go to work

*sigh* Easy as. Not a problem... Sure thing!

Gah... And I really have to do more work on my C. and M.R. unit.

* 5. Read C. and M.R. stuff - esp. that Lecture commentary. And the other two too.

Lots of work. I think I'll have to get up early - like at 9:00 am! *gasp- shock-- horror!*

O - and no. five

* 5. Get to Koorong! (and convince Mum to drive me... *looks sneaky* -_- ....)

There! That really is everything I have to do tomorrow!

*falls off her chair*

*muffled grunts come from below the National Library computer*

ffflodbiieee...

*lifts head* >.>'

I mean Goodbye!

Change of Plans!

Ya'll know how I was all gun-ho for the 'Patches' thing right? Weeeelll, I've changed my mind. Again.

This time I'm a-going with b . dot . designs for the name to cover all my art work. And the handle - meh. It'll stay the same. I really can't think of anything else - and besides everywhere on the internet, I'm signed in as some variation of TinkaBell. So I guess I'm stuck being Tinka for the mean while!!

Ooo - guess wot? I found out a new tool that I absolutely have to try out - I'm onto the airbrushing now!! And ; I'm doing some prints to put on shirts for my sisters - I might put the piccies of the shirts up on my blog - and of course, on DeviantART and anyone who wants one can put in an order!!!

Uni's ok, life's ok, and so the world spins around.

Saynara,

Tinka. ^-^!

*Editing Handle

*Edit - maybe I should be "Patched" rather than "Patches"...

Thoughts, 'nyone?

XD! P.

Tuesday, August 8

Maybe

I think I might have found a new handle - I'm not sure whether or not it works. It's supposed to be the watermark for ALL of my artwork, and internet persuadems (sp?) - I'm just not sure if it's right.

'Neways - *takes a deep breath* It's Patches.

Comments, critisims, or complaints anyone? Whadda ya'll think? Does anyone have anything better? I am still totally undecided about it, but I can't think of anything else, so...

Gah. Havta get on with a crazy tutorial prep. sheet I gotta go through. Man, it's gonna take EEEE- ffort (gag me!), and I've only got a little while to do it in. >= P'''

Adios,
Caio,
Adeu,
Aloha,
Auffvedersien (no idea 'bout the sp!!!),
Sayonara -

Well, you get the picture!

Spending.

I have recently learnt that I HATE my Communication and Media Research unit - it's sssooo boring and completely incomprihensable.

I've also learnt that fonts with tags like this one are 'Seriff' fonts and ones without like Ariel are 'San-Seriff'.

Oyeah - forgot really important info. I gotsy mi ver' own tomputer!!! *squee* ; )!!! It's a P4, w/ 512 mb of RAM and 1.8 GB hard drive. Not the best out there, but for the price I gots it for, well worth it. *does a dance* Yay!!!!

I've started back at gymnastics, and that's been really fun - yeah, it's really fun to fall on your head/a$$, but 'tis all good. O.O

Uni's ok - 'cept for sucky units - however, I will survive.

Hmmm. wot else to write about....

*rambles on under her breath* ....................... >.>'................ *bangs head* Nope. Can't think of a single thing....

O - Green tea is really good for you! It increases your metabolism, and boots your immune system fifteen-fold. As I have been getting sick (sowwy Bethen-squiee for contagiousing you...), I have been drinking so much I'm suprised I don't turn into a soggy tea leaf! *shudders* ewwww....

Keh. Anyways, gotta go - got things to do and peeps to see -

Adios amigoes,

Manic Monday

*sings to the tune of "Manic Monday"* It's just another day at Uni, whoa-whooh, wish it was o-ver, whoa-whooh, 'coz it's so annoying, whoa-whooh, and I don't like it....

Lol. Getting up was ssooo hard this morning, and I've got lots of work to do this week... Gag me!

But my weekend was ok - work, friends, and Wooo!!! Final Fantasy VII, Advent Children! Just had my first ever expirience of Final Fantasty, and I have decided me likes. Sorry to be the uber nerd and all, but I really do like anime and animated movies, comics and other graphic art related stuff quite a good deal more than most other 'real' sort of stuff. Heh-heh, -.-', I was thinking last night that there is so many sides of me that don't really seem to fit - I'm really neither one 'gerne' of person as a whole.

Like, I'm a computer nerd (ie, I like graphic art, some computer games, anime, animated movies, and the Internet is my playground *goes surfing* )

But that's not the total of my personality. I'm also the cheerleader (O- gag me, but sadly I do have some tendancies... ie, I'm bubbly, bouncy, I LOVEEEE shopping, chick flicks, I do gymnastics and horseriding, which are such girly sports, and I really like wearing shirts, highheels, make-up and pink *Squeee!* nailpolish.)

I'm a punk (ie, I like rock/hardcore music, black and purple are my favourite colors, I'm quite the loner at times, and I'm constantly writing/drawing emo stuff... )

SSOOOO, anyways, the conudrum of my "Patched Personality" is keeping me occupied at the mo., I highly doubt anyone else finds it interesting, so I'll change the subject right about now-

Final Fantasty - yep, I know... *stars in her eyes* Vincent is my favourite! The untoucable man and mystery... *glomps Vincy, and steals him away* He's mine I tell you - MINE!!! *laughs manically* Mwahahaaahaaahahhhaaaahaaaaa!!!! ^-^!

But that's me - how are you???

;) , Hope life's good, and I'll sign in later,

Person-who-still-doesn't-have-a-new-handle-'coz-she-can't-think-of-one-that's-cool-but-not-too-OTT...

P.s - Has anyone thought of a new handle? if you have an idea - ANY idea - leave a comment PLEASE! Thankies, t.

Puzzles & epistomology

Hellooooo one and all!!!

Firstly - check out my art if ya wanna read the second chapter of The Illusionist - Critiques and comments are MOST welcome! (Please bear in mind this story is for Young Adults - 13 to 18-ish(?), but anyone who enjoys a good story should check it out anyway - just in case they like it! ~_^)

Second - Uni's gonna be HARD this semester... *pouts* Stupid uni... I forsee a lot of work and stress. Great. Just what I need. owell, it's life I guess.

Hmm... what else?

Nothing much, actually. A random musing - epistomology : The study of belief and tying it into knowledge. (I think!)

It's a usuful thing - after all, when does belief become knowledge - ie, facts, a measurable concept... Or does it all stay as a Construct - an idea/theory/hypothesis in your head??

*ponders above question*

That's actually really hard, if not impossable to answer.

Do you need tangible proof, available to more than one person, for something to become a fact, ie - knowledge? Or is it less definable than that???

*so she puzzled and puzzled, 'til her puzzler was sore...* (rough quote from The Grinch)

- :)'s from: I-don't-have-a-pen-name-anymore-I've-ditched-TinkaBell-does-anyone-have-any-good-ideas-'coz-I-don't....

Monday, July 24

Meh

Nothing much to say - Uni's back again, and that's all good.

Worked this weekend. Um - that's about it! Hung out w/ the Hobbits for a bit. Too bad though, our group's getting to big to be classified as 'The Hobbits' any more...

Stuff is stuff, and life goes on.

Check u l8r,

T. ^_^!

Sunday, July 16

It's just another day... For whom?

It's a day like any other day.
Except for one thing.

Uni starts back tomorrow!
*dun-dunna-dun-dunna-DUN-DUNNN*

Meh. I'm over it. I've decided to post the first chapter of a novel *Edit - I've changed it to a teaser - apparently publishers get kinda finiky about putting up your stories on the interent before publishing. And as we definately want to publish the Illusionist, it's better to be safe rather than sorry!* I'm co-authering with my sister. The novel is called "The Illusionist" for now, and we're hoping to publish when we finish it. But for now, here's chapter one. WARNING! It's pretty big!

THE ILLUSIONIST

Chapter One
Break-ins, blood, and bounty hunters

The year is far into the future. Earth has long been destroyed by a ravaged ecosystem - now humanity has found footholds all over the universe, but the majority call Mars home.

Planet : OceaN°arria
Class : Water planet
Galaxy : Rëka, sector Tn
Life forms : Mostly Humans and Illasas

Cľis'q ignored the jangled sounds of the city as he concentrated on the security panel, smiling as he pulled the glass away from the glowing keypad. "You sure you got rid of the main floor alarm?" His partner, Wilk, scowled. "It may be a museum, but I've got worse security in my house. Trust me, it's gone - for this sector anyway."

Cľis'q slipped a micro scrambler onto the pad. The nanobots entered the system, transmitting control to Cľis'q's wrist band. With the touch of a finger, Cľis'q commanded the thick glass in front of the robbers to slide back. Nodding to Wilk, he gave the signal for him to active their heat sensing contact lenses, and scanned the room for any signs of life. Satisfied they where alone, Cľis'q's grin grew as he caught sight of dozens of priceless artifacts, gleaming in their glass cages - just whispering a silent challenge to the thieves. "Com'mon. Let's get to work."

If the pair had once looked up, the sight of a dark figure, its white blonde hair rippling in the soft night breeze – watching them, studying their moves through a skylight would have been more then enough to alarm them. As it were, neither took their eyes off their prizes, and the figure stole away, unnoticed, to another skylight on a different section of the roof. Amateurs. They're in the planet's largest museum and they waste their time on those? A smirk curled over her lips as Tori slipped through the hole she had neatly made in the skylight.

Landing gently on a solid oak rafter that ran through the infrastructure, she ran directly under the glass frame, silhouetted briefly against a clear, starless, purple night sky. Crouching panther-like, she slid down the length of the beam, flickering in and out of the deep shadows. Pausing at the end, she leapt down onto the floor, running through the lasers with her knees lifted high.

To any observer it would look like she was sprinting through a yard of tyres - but she knew one mis-step, and the alarm system would go off. Glancing at the floor in the next room, she eyed her target. The lasers were invisible to the naked eye, but to Tori they were dark green beams, flickering across the marbled floor. The doorway she needed to get through was three feet deep, and criss-crossed with more trip lasers. Guess they're trying to keep someone out. There's the hard way... Tori briefly considered the amount of flips and handsprings - not to mention layouts that it would take to get through the maze. Or not. Not enough time.

One bounce, and Tori coiled up like a spring and leapt headfirst through the tangle of invisible lights. Catapulting forward, she landed, rolled up into a handstand and stopped just before the next trap. Gracefully splitting onto her feet, she glanced back through the doorway, a self-satisfied smile curling at the corner of her mouth. That, gentleman, is a real entry.

The two burglars continued on with their petty workings, completely unaware that next door another thief was on her way to get the most prized item in the museum - a mask from the century 3098 B.M. (Before Mars) made completely out of diamonds, titled 'Masque de glace', or 'Mask of Ice.' Tori's hawk eyed gaze slid over the room, noting every tiny detail. There were seven glass cases in the room, the largest one that held the mask was standing directly in the center. The other six cases stood around it, each randomly placed.

As luck would have it, one was just a few feet away from the visitors chairs on the left wall. She lifted her green eyed stare to the ceiling. The long rafters started out from six separate points in the room, then gracefully arced to meet each other in the middle. Although they could not take her to her prize - they, combined with the glass cases, would get her where she wanted to be. There was always a way. Arms raised high, Tori stretched onto her tip-toes, then whipped through the air - a tiny ball of speed, unfurling to land on the targeted chair with ease.

Pausing for the barest of seconds, she reached forward, and delicately placed her hands on a glass case, as she perched dangerously above a laser. Effortlessly she kicked up into a handstand, balancing on the glass case that protected a monumental diamond. Her black clothed legs stretched upwards, then grasped hold of the wooden beam that ran above her, locking as she held all of her weight, she lifted up her hands. Reaching backwards, she clung onto beam, unhooked her legs, and swung forward so she dangled from the beam above a laser-ridden floor.

Swinging smoothly, hand by hand, she moved up the beam until she was over the next case. Dropping down, she landed on the glass silently. One second later, and she had flipped over onto her primary target. Just a few more seconds. If those bumbling idiots can control themselves - and not do anything stupid for that long... Just as the thought flashed through her mind, a low wail of an alarm pierced the silence, rising in volume as bright spotlights around the room began to flash red.

Gritting her teeth in anger, Tori leapt off the case and onto the ground, her left fist coming around to slam into the glass, shattering it completely. Ignoring the blood dripping onto the pink crystal floor from the cuts in her hand, she yanked out the mask, and slipped it into a concealed pocket in her black, sleeveless leather vest.

Over the blaring sound of the alarm, she picked up the wailing sirens of the police. Time to leave. She ran out of the room, almost colliding with two figures that where frozen outside the door, blinded with panic. The two thieves stared at her in shock as she threw them out of her way and continued her run, heading towards a large glass cabinet, just underneath a window.

Vaulting onto the cabinet, she catapulted through the window of the building, landing lightly on the glass coated stones. The instant she landed, she was off again, heading towards the shadows of a large tree. Six law enforcers, drawn to the sound of the breaking window like moths to a light, ran around the corner just in time to see a figure dressed in black come speeding towards them on a black and red V-rider.

Similar to the old fashioned motorcycles, the V-rider was a relatively new machine that took skill to master. Tori knew it could hit speeds of four hundred kilometers per hour, and over - that's what she was counting on. That and the fact that her new bike was more than one hundred kilometers faster then any hover unit, and that it relied on a new technology that used velocity force - making it not only a very expensive piece of equipment, but a very dangerous one as well. Everything she could want in a machine.

Speeding up, Tori accelerated into a corner, turning so sharply that an inch to the wrong side would have sent her flying. Although she could hear the sounds of a pursuit behind, she knew it wouldn't be a problem. It never was.
