Husband took me to me to see Riverdance at Burswood Theatre on Wednesday. It was a great experience ~ I absolutely adore theatre and because of my Scottish blood, anything Gaelic is just resonates within me.
And of course, it is the perfect excuse to dress up {not that I really need one!} so I donned my glad rags and went as full out as I could with such a limited travel wardrobe.
I must admit, however, I did not feel fully dressed without my high heels…. There is just something missing without them.
I will be home soon; reunited with my heels! Not that I can wear them much these days, but oh well. I will still be glad to have the option if I do want to wear them. > u <
I was totally unsure as to whether these night time photos would work but I am loving the film noir effect from the strong contrasts! I felt like a Hollywood screen siren; even though I do not look anything like that, particularly with the baby bump. ^ __ ^
Of course I had to take my 1950s tapestry purse with me; I adore this bag so much! I really like the colour detail it adds to my outfits.
Accessories ~ Feather Headband {Equip} Earrings {Equip} Necklace {Valentines Day ‘11}
Sleeveless top ~ Tempt Cardigan Bolero ~ Tempt
Skirt ~ Cannot remember; I have had it for too long! Shoes ~ Big W Handbag ~ Etsy
I am thinking of going to the library sometime this weekend; and maybe visit Perth docks if we can get there. What have you got planned? Whatever it is, I hope you all have a great weekend. ♥

You look lovely. And Riverdance! So jealous! I'm also Scottish, so the idea of Riverdance appeals to me even more than it should :p

I'm ashamed and embarrassed to admit that this is my first visit to your gorgeous blog but I promise it won't be my last *adds you to reader*. I'm so sorry, I barely have time to write my blog let alone read others although I do try my best and shall definitely be adding you to my list of must reads.
ReplyDeleteYou look absolutely stunning in this outfit and the photographs are just gorgeous. When is your baby due? I too ADORE Riverdance and anything gaelic for that matter. I married into an Irish family so this is fortunate ;-)
I'm just formatting your guest post, which I adore and can't wait to share with my readers.

Thanks Laura. : ) Yes, there is something about Scottish roots that makes
ReplyDeleteyou predisposed to anything Gaelic! Riverdance was awesome, if you ever get
the chance you should go. ^ u ^
Ohh, thanks Lottie! I always love it when someone whom I love to read likes
ReplyDeletemy blog ~ I am so glad you do like it!
I totally understand about limited blogging time ~ I am one of the lucky
ones at the moment, I am at home so I can browse for a long as I want. I
suspect this is all going to change very soon once the little one arrives!
The baby is due in May; in 10 weeks or so, which on one hand seems like an
eternity and on the other ~ way too short!!
You're so lucky to marry into a Irish family ~ I wanted to marry into a
Scots one {I must confess one of the main reasons for this was so that I
could have a céilidh at my wedding and make all the men wear kilts!} Still,
I am very blessed to have my dear man in my life and luckily he is really
fond of Gaelic anything as well so we can still enjoy things like Riverdance
together!
beautiful images! & I love that bag!
