I looooove this old ute! It’s parked in the ‘back yard’ of the tumble down house I take photos by, and it’s got such character! This outfit shoot was literally a ten minute “drive by”, but the truck makes it so full of win. I am really, really happy that we live where we do! So many interesting places to take snaps… > <
Incidentally, do you all like the change of formatting to my outfit post? It’s kind of subtle, so you may not have noticed, but basically I’m not numbering outfit posts anymore; I think it’s getting too crazy and what happens if I start getting into the hundreds? What if I hit 1,000 outfit posts?? That would be nuts, but it could happen!
I’ve also decided to cut down the picture content. While I love outfit posts that have lots of details, I felt like 5 – 7 photos is just getting too repetitive. I also noticed that a lot of my favourite bloggers only do a couple of pictures, some of them only one! Because I’m not posting outfit posts that frequently though I decided to cap it at 3 main photos and one details shot. What do you think? Should I do even less photos, like just one or maybe two, or should I go back to my old format? Feel free to let me know!

Gorgeous series Bonnie! where about did you find the ute? what a great photo spot
ReplyDeleteIt's literally a block from our house! :) I love it so much!! :D
ReplyDeleteSuch a fantastic location - I love it!
ReplyDeleteI think you should do whatever feels best when it comes to outfit posts. Sometimes, you want to share more images, sometimes it might feel better to post only a few - whatever works!
Yeah, sometimes you just get too many good shots not to include them! : D But I am liking this shorter format for the moment. I think it looks better. Thanks Katie. ^ w ^
ReplyDeletethis old truck makes for a great prop for these pics. I usually only do a few photos as well although thats mostly cause I'm blinking or making a weird face in all the other shots.
ReplyDeleteLol, yeah, I have plenty of those too Amber! I usually have to take 30+ photos to get four decent ones.... > <
ReplyDeleteSo many vintage bloggers seem to own a pair of Freddies. I have yet to dish out the money for them, additionally, pants have always been a foe of mine. I recall many late summer days in dressing rooms trying on pair after pair. So I'm rather scared to buy on-line and unable to try them on...
ReplyDeleteThese jeans are rather pricey.. Mine were a Christmas present from the family!
ReplyDeleteI can understand the concern about buying online, but I have to say, the one thing I found about the Freddies is that because they are a vintage style - i.e., fitted waist into a super wide leg, that you don't have to worry so much about fit across your bottom/thighs, like you normally have to do with pants.
When I ordered mine, I just measured my natural waist and went with that size and they fit perfectly!
The other thing you could do, if you are still not sure, is that you could take your measurements, and contact Freddies. Ask the measurements of the jeans that you want to buy - that way then you'll know if the pant leg is wide enough not to have to worry about fit. Mind you, if you wanted to go for the capris, I think that might be a lot harder to determine the fit.
Anyway, I hope that helps! Mind you, they still are rather expensive, so if you don't really want a pair, it's not like you have to have them! I personally just dig the comfort/ease factor. :D
