Kiya!

5 weeks until Christmas and all the insane madness that comes with it...

Where did the year go? I think that almost every year I write something about time passing and how it flies by. Except this year I'm actually more thinking along the lines of times to come and how quickly things change.

Although the first half of this year was an amazing experience - I'd have to say that coming back has been even more of an experience - although it hasn't been nice, just as much character growth has been instigated.

It's really crazy though how your outlook changes as life happens. I don't know that it's always such a good thing to 'grow up'. For example, I used to get all excited about plans and hang out times, but now I'm so cautious about letting myself be excited just in case it doesn't happen, or even just in case plans and stuff don't live up to my expectations. I find that sad. Why do we have to loose our childhood joy and innocence?
Friends are not supposed to be people who hurt you. Life is supposed to be new and exciting. New days should be welcomed, not dreaded....

I realized that I must sound so cynical and jaded. It's really rather horrible to think this way. I know I've got move past this and I will. It'll just take time.

In the mean while, I hope the new year brings new things - good new things! I guess it's a chance to keep trying to change stuff around you, a chance 'start over' as it were.

Don't really want to start over - I just think that things will change. Hopefully for the better! It's kinda crazy when things are shifting all around you - walking on quick sand takes talent.
One that I've had to develope rather quickly!

Sooooo - what will the new year bring? Heaven only knows. In terms of global outlook I think we are set to see a lot of changes between the credit crisis and the in-coming of President elect Barak Obama. These things in turn will effect Australia, but for some reason I don't think this country is on the brink of change. Some how it seems to be sailing on calmly. I may be wrong, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Interesting times to live in I suppose. "It's all fun and games until somebody gets hurt. And then it's just fun!"
