Counting down

I can't believe it, but this time next week Emi and I will be waiting at the airport to take off to Hong Kong. I am unbelievably excited because it is going to be the most awesome thing ever!

Heh. And so we wait. Counting down the days, the hours, the seconds.

In the mean time, our bedroom demands attention - we are spring cleaning (yes, in summer) to prepare for our trip away. We are getting rid of all the junk that we can. In a way it's almost like preparing our bedroom for two different travelers to return.

I mean, this is huge for us. We haven't ever done anything like this ever before. I guess it's time to find out whether that independent streak I've been cursed (blessed?) with will come through for me.

I tell you what though, I will miss everyone while we're over there. Yes, I love the trill of exploring new places, meeting new people - but I do have a very special group of friends here. I guess that makes the home-coming so much sweeter....

Is anyone else feeling sick? :p

*interrupts ramble*

I haven't spilled regarding the awesomeness that was SummerNats, so I will let my sister (who went with me, as well as our 'retinue' of bodyguards [guys from HBC that insisted that we had to go with a large group of protectors; aren't they sweet?]) regale you with the tale.

Hot cars, hot guys...

All thanks to Summernats!!!! *sigh* sooo many hot cars... the boys ain't bad either, but the hot cars... there were Corvettes, Mustangs - even an Lamborghini! Although apparently the Lamborghini was just a kit, and not a real one, but it was hot anyway. Lots of muscle cars - blowers, (gets more air into the engines) huge engines that roar, and turbo (makes car go faster) galore. Then there were the pretty cars - side skirts, grates, spoilers, rims(Stuff that goes on the front and side of the cars, the stuff in tires, and the sticky-up thing on the back end of the car) - the lot. But they were REALLY pretty. ^.^

I know a lot of you are probably going 'shut up about cars' but one last thing... we watched the burnouts of two guys doing a faceoff. One of them blew his engine and had to get his car pushed off the track. The other guy - get this - had a 2500bhp car!!!!! HOLY COW!!!!!!!!! He completely blew his tires. But still... HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!!!

*And just to add to that post - I agree totally... Hot cars! Some of them where jumping like crickets they had so much power in the engine. And then some of them *thumps rib cage* you could feel the power - right in the middle of you. It was so incredible!

But that's it from me for a while.

Ciao ~ b.
