*YAAAAAAAAAAAAWN!* Gah. So tired. I'm glad I have this Friday off, 'coz I'm so tired. I'm sleeping over at my gfs house tonight and we've got some plans to do stuff which'll be cool.
Work is same old - same old, sometimes boring, sometimes really hectic - I don't think I mentioned this before - but you know that storm that flooded my bedroom? Well, it flooded out our offices as well. We lost about twelve PCs, and had to be temporarily relocated. But we're back now so it's all good.
I've actually enquired as to the possiblility of my staying on as a part-timer during uni. My boss hasn't given the business manager the answer yet, so I'm a bit, yeh, it's so not gonna happen. But I'm sure I'll be able to find something else part time.... Hopefully!
Other then that nothing much else is happening...
I went to see "Happy Feet" with some friends and that was AWESOME!!! Loved that movie soooo much.
It's on my list of movies to buy along with "You Got Served" and "Take the Lead". I absolutely love dancing movies. And singing movies too, but not as much. DANCING ROCKS!!!
Signing (dancing?) off for now,
T.B_o
This was just aweful. I took my 4yo to see it and he kept asking if it was finished. The horrid lion seal was an unncessary scare that went nowhere. The scenes of Mumbles trudging along through the snow were dull as watching paint dry. The whole human section was ridiculous - and as if we humans would suddenly save the penguins because one danced. No no no - we'd exploit them and end up killing them. And am I the only person on earth who is sick of hearing 5 Robyn Williams voices (all very similar to ever other voice he has done), and please - Nicole Kidman is so over-rated it's not funny. Thank goodness I saw it at Southbank where at least I didn't fork out the world to see it. At a regular cinema I would have insisted on my money back. Summary: boring and ull and not worth the 2 and a half hours with a whinging 4yo (who normally sits mesmorised at the screen - he loved Cars and that was too long).
ReplyDeleteThankyou for reading my blog. However, I, as you might proably be able tell, strongly disagree with that opinion on "Happy Feet"... I thought the lion seal was nessacary for pushing Mumble out of his comfort zone, and thus allowing further depth into his character development.
ReplyDeleteAnd as for the humans suddenly saving the penguins - although it is true that we would exploit them, it is also true that there are more than enough Greenies out there that would "Save the penguins" and insist on the penguins 'rights', thus allowing the penguins to survive.
I have no comment on Nicole Kidman, or Robin Willams, after all, I don't think I really cared where the voices came from,l as long as they came.
But each to their own, and although your son, and obviously you, didn't like the film, I did - and so did my friends who where waching it with me. :)
